Update.

Two cords worth of fire wood just have been donated to the cause.

Outstanding event support.

11-4 for the full moon. But I'd say listen to those who have been able to attend. I've planned on coming the last 2 times only to have work get in the way.

Oct 27-29

Nov 3-5: Full moon on Saturday night
Nov 10-12: Veteran's day weekend, lots of folks get Friday off (not to mention a great way of observing it), no moon

Nov 17-19: IMHO, getting way too close to Thanksgiving (23rd) for some folks, no moon.

What weekends are CGSSA events that might conflict??

I'd say narrow it down to the first two weekends in November for the poll.

I'll be there, brother.I had a great time at 7.5 (except for the dust). Can we reduce the speed of all of the quads in camping areas?

What date are you gunning for, PTO?

Nov 10-12 should still have enough light as the moon will be waning from the full on the 4th.

Don't know yet, will probably make it either way.

The moon comes out late and is out mostly during the day on 10-12, which doesn't do us any good.
Moon rise on Nov 4 is early evening, which is perfect.

Click on the day for more info: www.moongiant.com/calendar/November/2017/
Another good one here with more detail: https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/usa...h=11&year=2017

Fellow members.

The poll will have a generous but finite opportunity to interact and express your preferences.

I'm sincerely asking you to vote and decide our upcoming family event date.

Respectfully.

Xavier, does this location have a name or does it go by map coordinates?
I am in contact with the Barstow BLM field office attempting to get a Sellers Permit for the shoot weekend.
They want to know where I'll vend and where the shoot location is, I'm pulling a Shultz, I know nothing.

If you can please PM or call me, the Field Office personnel seem to be mostly blank stares.

Thanks,

Vick

(*) some of us have a pretty tight agenda, please take that into consideration.
Speaking to a Calguns event, the Murrieta Rod Run is Oct. 13 & 14 (Fri/Sat). This will be our 5th year having a booth there and it has become difficult to obtain volunteers, so I would appreciate it if those dates are not selected for the Shoot. Thank you.

I'm in, voted the weekend of the 4th. The 3 day weekends sound good, but traffic in and out of the location will be brutal.

Just using you quote, not singling you out.

Ladies and gentlemen, in order to have your vote counted, you must use the poll at the top of the page on the website. You will not see it through tapatalk, and I don't believe it's visible on the mobile version either.

I've missed out on the last few since 2014 was the last time there. I'm hoping to make it, tho either date is fine with me being retired. Since this might be my last time due to all my physical issues (facing another probable knee replacement sometime this year), I'm going to do my best so my grandsons can attend.

FTR: I voted for 3-5 as that date worked best for my better half. It's still to early to confirm if my (or her) schedule will allow either weekend, but I hope to make it no matter the date choosen.[/QUOTE]

Historically speaking - we had the most calgunners at the 5.5 shoot Nov 3-5/full moon, where as 7.5 Nov 11-13/vet day weekend was not as crowded (but still a great turn out).
Now that was probably more due to the bigger publicity and the first ever SSZS raffle than it was the full moon, but there's you're anecdotal data
