Default Reload OC

As you guys may know, I'm new to reloading and have been gathering tools and components. I was looking around my area for local reloading supplies and ended up going to Reload OC by Anaheim Stadium this afternoon.

Brian the shop owner was really helpful and showed me sample cases displaying signs of pressure issues which was very helpful. Looking at pictures online is one thing, holding cases in my hand is another deal altogether.

Im not associated with this shop but I figured you guys in the area may want to stop by. The advice and service is worth the visit.

Yes. I picked up a box of xtreme 38 special 158gr plated swc and he recommended titegroup and cci spp which I bought. Went in looking for 303 British projectiles which I also bought.

It's also a good place if you need a reloading bench built.

Prices are reasonable, plus no Hazmat/shipping fee makes it cheaper for smaller amounts. Buying 5K primers? Maybe on-line is better.

Ive only been to his shop only once and it was very positive. I wish he would put an updated list of powder/primer inventory on his website .... like other local shops. I know he is a one man show but I think this would both help himself and his customers.

I too give Brian and OC Reloading a high mark. My family actually purchased a Dillon 550B from him as a gift for me at X-Mas. Great shop. I need to buy more from him as this is the kind of person I want to deal with.

Brian is THE MAN! Without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable and generous peole I've met in the business. I'm in San Diego and gladly make the trek up there to do business with him.

Good place, his attitude is different then when he worked over at Stockade, that's aplus. Bought 3 lbs of powder from him. Will definitely buy some more whenever I'm in that area.

Great place to buy reloading supplies. I get bullets, powder, primers, everything there. He can even get great deals on presses and parts for presses.

I highly recommend him to everyone I meet who wants to know about reloading. Heck I have even meant other cal-gunners at his shop to complete a transaction. A+++ rating and worth it to stop in and I promise you will learn something!

I started going there after someone mentioned his shop here. Its ten min away and i can also stop by on way home from work.Well stocked shop for its size.

Been picking up 100 packs of .223 bullets and pound of powder here or there lately.IMO his prices are pretty good too.I have ordered online before but add shipping it almost evens out.

I gotta stop by tomorrow to get a small part for my press.

Reload OC is a great shop. As the others have said, Brian runs a one man show which is very nice knowing you are dealing with the owner and not just an employee.

Was just there today. Man is it easy to spend $100.

Brian is a great guy and the shop is a wonderful resource for those of us in the area. I make every effort to give him business when I can, even if it's a few bucks more.

Been thinking about getting into reloading for all the brass I have been saving. Stopped by Brian's shop just to look around and got a great 15 min mini lesson on reloading. Bought some stuff to prep the brass. Will be buying from him in the future. Great guy and shop.

Reload OC is the best. I have been using 2 single stage RCBS presses for 10+ years. I was not sure about upgrading to progressive. Brian spent some quality time explaining everything to me. I now have a 650, and I stop by every few month to get supplies. Brian is a wealth of knowledge, I have called him twice with problems and he has called me back each time to fix them over the phone. I highly recommend Reload OC to anyone who has not been there. It is worth the drive.

I equate Brian at Reload OC to being a reloading Democrat. I can't stand the democratic party and because he is a Blue Dillon guy, well Dillon starts with a D... BUT- Because he is also a great guy, very friendly and patient, AND let me touch his 650XL that he had in the store without watching my every move, I have deemed him an exception to the rules, just like there ARE 2nd A loving Democrats. I was at his store once, I asked him a lot of questions and I bought some powder and parts since I took up his time. If I lived in Anaheim, I would visit his shop more, but ugg- it is right across the street from the Angels or Ducks stadium and I hate the Angels and the Dodgers.

Every once in a while though, you might want to pay a visit to Philips Wholesale to get an 8lb bottle of powder and some lead. I do not recall that Brian had a lot of lead, but Philips wholesale does.

Oh yes, and Brian also has a green press or two setup as well, but green is kinda close to Blue on the color spectrum...

In a Nutshell: +1 for Reload OC.

Is he even aware of Calguns and is he even a member here?

WTF? He CLEARLY got in some more powders since I was there. I do not even RECALL seeing that setup... DAMN, Imma hafta pay him another visit when I am in that location again.

Until then, I work 10 minutes away from Philips so it is very hard to NOT stop in every few weeks.

I'm a little wary of calguns endorsements (people vouch for people they've never done business with). But; with a lot of these about Reload the people have actually stopped in. I also did and met Brian once and the experience was similar to others. Didn't hover but was happy to help once you looked his way.

I'll add; I was given bad reloading info at another place (oh yeah; these 6.5 primers work for 223... not). I don't see that happening at Reload. Not a sales clerk.. you have someone who knows this stuff.

There are 6.5 cases with small primer pockets as well as large primer pockets so that's sorta up to the owner of the cases to know what primer size he needs...

Remington 6.5 primers. No go for 223. Its always up to us in the end... but clerks acting like they know something when they do not are not good in reloading... I like making subsonic for fun so I found a use eventually.

What are 6.5 primers? As stated about 6.5 can use small or large primers.

The 6-1/2 thing is a part of the Remington primer sizing scheme. 6-1/2 = regular small rifle primers, 7-1/2 = magnum small rifle primers. Seems all Remington primers numbers end with a 1/2 .

OP did not mention Remington initially.
He only said 6.5 primers at first.
For all we know, he was buying primers to load a 6.5, which would be either small rifle or large rifle depending on which 6.5 he has.

Clarifying Remington BRAND primers makes more sense, though people usually refer to remington primers by their size as 6-1/2 not 6.5 primers.

6.5 is usually in reference to caliber.
Ever see people talking about 6-1/2mm cartridges or bullets?

Most people knew he referenced remington primers.

Sl0re. I'll buy the 6 1/2 off you they work for my 22 hornet and 30 carbine.
