Well I got out to the range on friday finally and thought I'd try this out. I was at the 25 yard line so used a fakepoint M4 on top of my DPMS .22 Upper. Not real happy that I didn't get any bonus, I'll have to go to put up a target at 50 yards and scope it next time.

356/400 - The shot outside the black on the upper right has it's grease ring touching the black so I count it as 10.

Went out this morning to try to shoot the 400, missed again by a hair (390), so I shot the barrel, Think I got a 400 on that one

No more redos for me. The glass on my scope fell apart this morning. It will be a while until I can get a new scope, but hopefully in time for next months match.

This month was a good month with a lot of participation. Thank you dwh for keeping this thing going! Good shooting everybody!

Default August rimfire match

Here is the latest target from my 10/22. 50 yards w/rest, scope & Wolf MT.

Actually tried several brands of ammo (SK subsonic, Rem Match, Eley Tenex, CCI Green tag and CCI Mini-Mag) and had best luck with the Wolf.

Wind was gusting hard enough that all the "Benchrest " guys left early disgusted with their results in the wind.

Last shot--------last target---------too much pressure.........choked.........still got 390.
The hole is within but the grease mark is outside black by a few thousandths.

As stated this is with a Semi-Auto.

Default August rimfire match

dwh100:

Thanks for the encouragement. I am still kicking myself for that last shot.

My first target post from Aug 3rd is on page 3 one post before your target. Also are pics and description of my 10/22.

I have made all the accessories myself. Barrel retainer block w/set screw, extended mag release, bolt headspace mod and the rear bolt contour. Last is the scope base I made with about 15 moa built in. Bedded the receiver so tight that it is difficult to get out of the stock. Made a custom bushing that acts like a recoil lug which is also bedded with tight tolerances and a stainless steel take down bolt all made in my home shop. Last thing installed was a Volquartsen extractor using the stock spring.

Keep up the positive matches. Fun for all to enjoy. August (my birthday month) has been a success.

Thanks for the thread.

I was actually thinking about doing it with iron sights.
I have a real nice 513T from the CMP.
With the redfield olympic rear and lyman front with spirit level and inserts, it's perfect for shooting round targets at 25yds.
The last time I shot it for groups it was doing about 1/2" at 25yds.

Well I took off to the range for another attempt at a perfect 400. I thought I had it in the bag with my Win 52d, but just couldn't pull it off. Oh so close, started shooting fast on the home streak and missed a wind switch.

390/400

Here's some gun porn too, the 52D in the basement.

Default September Rimfire Match

Ok, as Borat would say the August match was "Great Success!"

Nobody posted a perfect score, but it seems that several 390/400 scores were the best! Congratulations to all who participated! Thanx for making this a fun, challenging aspect of this Calguns forum. Maybe we could even get a sticky!

Here's the September target!

http://www.protargets.com/targets/ha...er-small-2.gif

shoot:
iron sights/reddots from 25 yds
scopes from 50 yds

Shoot 5 shots at each of the five targets from any shooting postion you like.

Center dot is 10 points and each concentric ring outside will score one less than the one inside it. 10/ 9/ 8/ 7/ 6/ 5 You touch it, you score it!

Please add up and write your score next to each target! Total all five scores!

Best score is 250!

Post your pics. Make sure to include firearm used, ammo used, conditions, and any other pertinent info!

Good luck! Have fun!

Now lets see some targets!!!

This sounds like fun. The only problem is I would have to take scope off. Then Rescope Resight then shoot the 50 yards.

22popnsplat,
When the link loads the target, I hit the print icon on my my top menu bar and it printed a perfect 8.5 X 11" sheet. No need to enlarge as far as I can tell.

Ego that barrel alone was enough for first place
Thanx for playin'!

Since my outdoor ranges are about all burned up, I might try to shoot an indoor 25 yd target with my 9422 this weekend!

A Place to Shoot is open a little farther down the road and our 22 match is this weekend. Check out the posting in the precision rifle thread and come join us. I know its a shameless plug . . . but heh its another opportunity to burn some powder and maybe even win a plaque.

I think I scored it correctly. I used a circle template to check the 50 target, it was really close.

Default 247

Score: 247

Got to the Dunsmuir range early in an attempt to beat the wind and get my airgun working at 100 yards.

That wasn't shooting for crap (I've got issues), but I broke out the .22 and had a great run. Love to figure out how to get groups like the last one (lower left) all the time.

The lower right target has a close one, but it sure looks like it impinges on the center ring to me.

Details:
Oregon-made Kimber M82 sporter
SK Standard+ target ammo
Bipod, bag in back
4x-16x/56mm Leapers Airgun scope

Bump for more targets. Shoulder injury will prevent me from getting one posted this month, but it would be nice to see some more high scores from you folks!

Today I shot a total of 6 targets and 5 different types of ammo at 50 yards , this was shot with wolf match target from my contender pistol with a factory 14 inch barrel (can be seen on the first page of this Thread) conditions were fair with a bit of a gusty breeze as I have found to be normal at westend gun club.
I Scored this a 247?
