I didn't even realize they made DA/SA guns in the 1800's. Anyone know the first that came out?

The Beaumont-Adams double action revolver was first adopted by the British army in 1856

Colt had the Model 1877, then the 1892. Both had their issues due to a weak and complicated design

Smith and Wesson came out with their first hand ejector in 1896 in .32 caliber. The 1899 was the first of their swing out cylinder K frame revolvers in the iconic .38 Special caliber.

Just joined the club. 686 no dash, figured I would start off right. Replaced the hideous Pachmayr grip with some Altamonts.

Revolver thread has fallen pretty low and needs some love, here's a S&W 360PD, not as beastly as the ones above but for just pocket carry:

I'm a terrible photographer, and I just took these pics in the dark, but here goes.

This is my Ruger Lipsey's Birdshead Single-Seven 327, sporting a set of Arizona Custom Grips grip panels and a CME Holster Ennis Cross Draw holster.

Yeah it is a fun little gun! I need to get some better pics outside. But I didn't like the black grip panels so I swapped them out. I normally don't do checkering on my revolvers, but given the small size and the magnum load it seemed like a good idea.

I've never shot a 327 before, but I would certainly agree with that feeling.

I got to shoot a S&W Airweight last month and I was thankful for the rubberized grips. What I said to my cousin was, the first 3 shots were great, the next 2 were a little less pleasant. Not a bad shooter actually, but it's so light and narrow it is a little punishing to the web of my hand

I found some old stock Uncle Mikes grips for my model 65. After trying a couple different makers, those fit so well in my hands. They're not as pretty as wood grips, but they sure make it a nice shooting gun
