Summary Page With Legal Challenges?

Hi Folks,

I used to come to Calguns quite a bit but moved out of CA to South Carolina 2 years ago. Since then, I only come on here every so often.

I try to find all of the legal challenges and law suits and to see what their status is, but the amount of comments and conversation in each thread is so overwhelming to get through. I don't have hours to wade through all of it.

Is there a summary post somewhere that tracks all of these legal challenges without the pages and pages of conversations?

Even the info on the state pages is watered down and hard to figure. Even CRPA has issues with putting out info that’s understandable. They put out info that looks good (pertaining to the atf) but leave out the negative stance of the DOJ. It looks like a win in one hand but a loss in another.

Specially when we get a step in the right direction, FOC, CRPA and the others will post and share the help out of the legal jargon showing we had a “win” but never put it in layman’s English nor explain the implications of the win.

Then you get guys who have no freaking clue trying to weigh in on legal isssues. You know how many Calguns lawyers there are!

(1) the Mods try to update the thread's title w/current standing and date thereof. You can then use that date to go to the posts that talk about what happened.

(2) Wish you SC folk the best in trying to legalize Open Carry and/or Constitutional Carry!

SC along w/CA and 3 other states and D.C., are the only ones to effectively ban OCing.

The moderators have tried to create a forum that was strictly for legal updates. Unfortunately, the usual suspects muddy the whole thing up arguing over hypothetical scenarios. Unfortunately, it can't be stopped and we are forced to skim through pages of nonsense to get a real update.
