Since this covers AZ, is it also to be said NV (covered) through reciprocity ?

And if UT is covered, will Washington state also through reciprocity ?

Just curious. Idk

Both reciprocity (formal agreements) and recognition (informal acceptance) change over time. It's always best to reference the issuing state's website to get the latest up-to-date info. Currently AZ's permit is recognized by NV (http://www.azdps.gov/services/concea...s/reciprocity/) and UT's has reciprocity with WA (http://bci.utah.gov/concealed-firear...-other-states/).

This class satisfies the training requirement. You still need to pass the background check, but as long as you have a clean record that shouldn't be a problem.

The next class is scheduled for Jan 15th, but is sold out. I normally schedule one class per month, future classes TBD.

Sorry but no. Here in the SF bay area it's very rare to receive one so it isn't economically feasible for me to offer such a class, even though I can certainly teach one.

thanks, I saw "waiting list" for that date so I thought it was full.
March looks to fit my calendar better anyway so I'm not bothered.

Quote:
Florida law requires you to submit proof of competency with a firearm in order to qualify for a concealed weapon license. A copy of a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION or similar document from any of the following courses or classes is acceptable:

Any hunter education or hunter safety course approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or a similar agency in another state;

Any National Rifle Association firearms safety or training course;

Any firearm safety or training course or class available to the general public offered by a law enforcement agency, junior college, college, or private or public institution or organization or firearms training school, utilizing instructors certified by the National Rifle Association, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, or the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services;

Any law enforcement firearms safety or training course or class offered for security guards, investigators, special deputies, or any division or subdivision of law enforcement or security enforcement;

Any firearms training or safety course or class conducted by a state-certified instructor or by an instructor certified by the National Rifle Association.

The copy of the training certificate/document must be clear and legible and must include:

Your name,

Your instructor's name,

Your instructor's qualifications/credentials (National Rifle Association instructor, law enforcement firearms instructor, Class "K" Firearm Instructor licensed by the State of Florida, etc.), and

Your instructor's license/certification number.

Under what category does your class qualify for FL CCWs? your instructor qualifications/credentials?

On your site (http://www.gunkraft.com/training-07.htm), you say
Quote:
Fingerprinting services are available for $15 per state.
In the FL application instruction material, it says:
Quote:
FINGERPRINT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

You must submit a complete and legible set of fingerprints on the FINGERPRINT CARD enclosed or by ELECTRONIC SCAN (see next page for information). If you use the enclosed card, your fingerprints must be taken at a LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY. Your local Florida county sheriff will provide fingerprinting service if requested and may charge a fee not to exceed $5. There may also be a charge associated with the fingerprint service provided by another law enforcement agency.
(emphasis added) From: p. 7 at: http://www.freshfromflorida.com/cont...structions.pdf

Since they accept electronic fingerprint scans only when done in FL by a FL LEA, I'm using the card for ink prints.

Since Gun Kraft is not a LEA, how do the prints you do satisfy FL's CCW requirements?

Paladin, I'm both an NRA and LE certified (CA POST) firearms instructor.

They don't. I offer fingerprinting for Utah and Arizona applications. Both Florida and Virginia require printing at a law enforcement agency as you noted.

Heard some gal at Turner’s in Rancho Cucamonga, CA say that California will block any federal law pertaining to Guns; which include reciprocity. Does this hold any truth?

Sorry, but that's FUD. First, federal law takes precedence over state law. Second, reciprocity is an agreement between one state and another--the feds have nothing to do with it. Third, California doesn't recognize any other state's permit, although 24 other states do recognize California's.

As a general rule you can't go wrong following the adage "extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." When you hear something like that ask the person for supporting facts like case law, penal codes or pending legislation. If/when they can't cite any, take it for what it is (hot air) and move on.

Yes, that's what I thought. We still have a hope with reciprocity here in CCW here in California. Thanks for the info.

I can roll fingerprints for Utah and Arizona, and charge $15 per state. Florida and Virginia require prints be taken at a law enforcement agency.
