It is. About $100 less than Turner's sale price.

I have the serrated version of that knife. It's a tad heavier than my others but I love it. It's actually my EDC, though I've sharpened it since owning it a few years.

Just went to Riflegear today to check out options for my first small compact/subcompact 9mm single stacks(Primarily).

They also had the Sig P238, Springfield EMP, XD, and (The clerk's, not for sale) Glock 43 that I laid out to check ergonomics side by side. The most similar to the Shield is the Glock 43 and I can't get that unless I pay a premium.

After all the considerations, went with the Shield because of the price. Every other pistol is hundred(s) above the Shield or unavailable. I can almost get three Shields for the price of one EMP...

Bass Pro Shop will match the Shield price although you won’t get the free swag. Might be worth it for those not wanting to drive to Fountain Valley.

The Karh K9 is really nice and about the same size maybe just so smaller. Some turners might have it for 650 you'd have to call around.

Anyone know if this model has an intrusive LCI and a magazine disconnect?

I saw the Kahr while finishing up the dros for the Shield. I do like it, the colors too but it's still double the price in the end...

I had the Kahr and the Shield. I now only have the shield.

I just like the Shield better. Even w/o considering the price.

One thing, I could never get used to the trigger on the Kahr.

Is the shield snappy?

I can let you know after I shoot it after I get it. I've been watching reviews and the consensus seems to be that it is a bit snappy but it's not too bad. It is narrow so there's less area for the energy to disperse over, but the bore axis is low so the snap isn't as prevalent. I've shot my brother's P238 before so I can do a quick comparison next time I go.

Thinking about it for the wife it would be perfect size for her.

I thought my wife would want a shield too, she ended up liking up the G17 in the store. But she ended up liking the P10c after shooting all of them, even over the 9mm 1911.

She needs something with a small grip and the choices are slim

I have a Shield w/Apex. I like it more than G43 and XD-s (recently sold off both of those).

I have one in 9mm, I donít think itís any more ďsnappyĒ than any other small polymer 9mm. Itís more snappy than my Beretta 92, but not unreasonable.
I might head to Bass Pro tomorrow and see if they will price match.

Just shot this pistol a bunch after I picked it up last week. Maybe put around 400 rounds through it?

It shoots very well. The sights are a bit disappointing for fiberoptics. Maybe I've had good sights or these fiber optics are just weak, but they're not that bright. I suspect maybe it's the design of the sights but all the fiber optics have a metal housing that goes around the top and I think that cuts out some of the light it could otherwise get.

The trigger is very heavy, but nothing too bad. The trigger could use some work but I'm going to try to break it in before I declare any upgrades necessary. I don't think it will. Also the apex trigger is too expensive when the pistol is $360. All in all I am very happy with the pistol, plan to shoot it a bunch more. Get 2+ mag extension from strike industries and practice drawing and whatnot.
