Fun match. Wind was tricky at times in the back jungle area. Goodtimes. Henry was consistent all the way through and didn't get a zero on any of the stages. Mark and Alan were neck and neck. And the 4-6 shooters were within 40 points of each other. Not much room for mistakes in these matches. A couple of bad stages was all it took to get knocked down to middle of the pack.

I guess that bolt-action isn't obsolete afterall....

Another Great Match. Some challenging stages and the wind was tricky. Good shooting by all.

Dennis, was a fire on the second half of the match. If he didn't brain-fart the paper he would have taken it.

Dennis has magnets in his bullets that hit steel everytime! He cleaned the second half of todays match. 1st try hits on everything made out of steel back there with his Russian potatoe gun. But it didn't like the paper targets so much. Like I said, no room for mistakes. Saw some great shooting today.

Bill, once again we had another great match. Thank you.
Henry - you are damn good.
Alan - Nice shooting and welcome back.
Dennis - Put that Russian potato stake back in the gun cabinet and pull out some German technology....

To all the other shooters - well done by all. You are a great group of guys to shoot with.

Spoken like a true Ringer!

Alan,

Thank you, of course the feeling is mutual. You are such an unassuming, yet very tough competitor (that's why you're so dangerous). Excellent shooting on your part as well. The skill level in these matches has become such that it is very unforgiving of the slightest errors.

Looking forward to shooting with you.

Henry

Now that you three have kissed each others butts...Good shooting.

Go Henry, you let out the clutch and saved
the bolts in the hood.

Thanks Bill, it was a great match, they all are.
oh, I want to thank you for posting all the scores. LOL
Next time it might be cool to see you only post the top 4.
Looking at that list just hurt, I don't need to see my name down there
or we can just shoot steel next match.

Don't feel bad, that was a heck of a group you shot on Stage 1 and I'm sure shooter 13 appreciated the boost in stage 5.

Hey congrats Henry! I thought for sure you were going to take it last time. Glad you finally pulled it all together.

And Mark.... how many second places is this?

Thanks Wes,

I really tried this time to not Zero any stages or have any major brain farts. As you know the competition is so tight that one bad stage will take you out of the running.

How was NCal?

Meh... I wasn't doing too well after a night of partying like I was in my 20s. Stupid.

BUT... I wasn't dead last, so that's something. Vu's match is fun, but tough. You're moving really, really fast between stages. I thought it was pretty cool, but I was disappointed in myself.

Hey Wes, was good to meet the face behind the name. Kind of sorry that as a first timer to our range you got stuck on second relay. But knowing Ryan and Randall's capabilities, since they wanted you between them so they could help you (they having been there before), you had to shoot on the same relay as them.

The pace of the second relay was a faster than first relay because second relay is always most all the shooters from our top 20+. That's about the speed you can expect the TBRC to go at also (if you're shooting in that).

But just so you know, the wind conditions were definitely on the mild side for our range all weekend.

Hopefully you can make it up with the guys for the May 3rd match. It will be all prone. No position or sling work.

Great meeting you too, Rob!
Being on second squad was no bother... it was actually kinda cool learning how to work the pits first... and the way I was feeling it was a much needed rest. No, I just was not really in a good state to be shooting. Every round that went off was like a kick in the head and I was severely dehydrated. Plus at over 5,500 rounds since last year, my factory barrel is so shot out I was amazed I wasn't dead last.

I know what you're saying about the wind. Those two kept telling me how crazy it can get there and I was really excited at how calm is was. In fact, on the 1000 yard headshot my windage was dead on... but I went right over the top because I held too high.

May 3rd is definitely a possibility. Unfortunately, I won't be making the TBRC because I'm in a wedding, but maybe I'll see you at SCPRC?

Cheers!
Wes

As shooter 13, I did indeed.

If we could combine my paper with your steel, we have had an amazing score. That dang chicken taunts me.

There were way too many first rounds hits to think the chickens taunted the many.

It was that thin bottleshaped steel that I was having problems with not the chicken. Atleast chicken is wider so a little more forgiving of wind.
