COURSE OUTLINE
This class will change your perception of the most taken for granted workhorse in the small arms arsenal. The shotgun is the most versatile and violent of all weapons considered small arms. Conversely it is also the most underutilized and misunderstood weapon in the small arms world. Our goal is to have students out of their comfort zone and pushing their limits to the next level.

Tactical weapons manipulation and employment
Shooting fundamentals
Combat & speed reloads
Weapons malfunctions
Situation specific shooting positions
Psychology of the gunfight
Speed and accuracy drills
Psychology of the gunfight
Ballistic discussion and load selection based on your mission/needs
HARDWARE/KIT
Pump or semi auto shotgun, but break actions are welcome
Side-saddle or Ares Gear shell panels (www.aresgear.com)
300 rounds of shotgun (250 bird shot, 25 slug, 25 buckshot) ammo
Good recoil pad
Ear protection (electronic preferred)/Eye protection
Sling and ammo pouch that will retain equipment when moving
Water hydrating device
Knee and elbow pads (optional)
Gloves (optional)
Clothing appropriate for strenuous activity which is seasonally appropriate
Weapon lube and maintenance tools
Positive attitude and open mind
