I only like shooting steel. I’ve got a bone stock 10/22 carbine with a red dot sight and I’m a menace with it. My favorite rifle.

I’m ok with my other 10/22 with irons as well.

For fun and customizing-10/22, you can buy damn near anything for it to make it your own.
For accuracy- CZ455, can swap barrels to .17hmr and is a very well built gun.

i have had a 10/22 since 1977 . Great rifles I also have a CMMG lower with a a dedicated 22lr upper after about 2,000 rounds it works better than the 10/22 and is lots more fun. And it is a real AR no plastic lower. You can't tell when holsing it that it is not a 223 /5.56.

The Henry feels more like a firearm, the ruger feels a bit like a pellet rifle but that's to be expected with a 22 anyway
I think the wood stock 10/22 Carbine has the feel of the M1 Carbine.

Seeing as there was only ONE octagon barrel Henry in the store, it's in jail now.

10/22 and the Henry are great rifles, would recommend highly. If you want something a little different, the Henry with the octagonal heavy barrel is a sweet shooter. The buckmark Carbine is also a fun plinker- just as reliable as any other 22 and the mags are easier to reload than the ruger.

Yeah.... I'd freakin hope for that ridiculously expensive 22 that I won't be buying.

Contemplating going back to get the ruger but.. the more I save the more I can put in the pistol. I'm assuming the 10/22 would be much better at distance since the Henry has no threaded receiver for a scope. (May that I'd want one on that style of rifle anyway)

What pistol you getting? You could get the 10/22 later unless it's on some super good deal now.

My favorite 22lr is my Browning BL22 lever gun. There is just something about it.

All of the Henries besides the golden boy have a dovetail. I have a 3-9x on mine.

Scopes aren't really necessary though at any range where .22LR is relevant.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. Can get it later if I wanted I suppose. I just like saving money on things but..

Not sure on the pistol, kind of want a g19 to replace my old g26 but I'd also like a 9mm 1911 but that's 950$ that's pretty steep for me

My Henry was about twice that on sale. I bought the golden boy, not the the black one. Figured do it once.

Nice. I stopped by my nearest store, and they had 3. Tempting, but I want another Big Boy first.

I wanted to sorta round out what I have. I have big caliber model 94's but no 22 rifles at all. Was thinking on the 129$ wood stock savage but.. I think I'd rather have the ruger between those. Just like the price to have a cheap plinker.

Was holding off because I'm still trying to find a 9mm pistol and the ruger is only 60$ off normal price

Just curious, do the California Assault weapons rules apply to rimfire as well? as far as having a pistol grip and detachable mag etc.
