  1. Kahr p380
  2. Glock G43
  3. .45 shield
  4. Sig P238
Carried in that order, in warm weather...

The Glock and Shield, move up in cooler weather...

A P365 might move to the top, if one makes into the rotation.

G42, G26, distant 3rd G19
due to 10 rnd mag restrictions considering changing out G19 with compact 1911 Sig .45
Like many the smallest tends to get carried the most. I like J frames (carried one for years), but my county only allows three on license. I simply shoot the G42 better, than a J frame accurately. I know shouldn't whine, at least one is able to protect oneself here.

Iíve had my ccw for about 3 years, when I first got it I didnít have much money either. My first main carry was a Makarov in 9x18 sa/da w/ decocker slide safety, extremely reliable. I also had a .38 special Charter Arms undercover 5 shot. Those suited most self defense situations. When I renewed two years later I was able to acquire some newer cc friendly firearms. Now I primarily carry EMP 9mm, also XD-S .45 3.3in and full size govt 1911 in cold weather.

Sorry, short answer made long, haha...
I have owned over 400 guns, and trained 100's of people, and have CCWs in MO, AZ, NV. and pondering a CA ccw. I've been carrying 37yrs since I was 19, and have carried everything from the classic BROWNING HI POWER to another classic the WALTHER PPK depending on the weather. In shoulder holsters, ankle holsters, and every position on my waist. Now, I mostly carry a G43, with a flush 7rnd MagGuts mag, and sometimes 1 or 2 extra mags, either 7rnds, 8 or 9, and I do have three 10rnd mags, but never carried them. I have a PPS that I love love love, but since I got the G43 I never carry it. I carried a KAHR PM40 and love it, but wanted better capacity. I just bought a K6S, but it's too heavy, I love the trigger, but won't carry it. If in sweats, I carry a SW442 or even a NAA PUG. All of my Carry guns have Crimson trace lasers with grip activation and Nite Sights. I know from experience that a laser can sometimes end a fight. I have been in 4 situations, all in STL, that I had to draw my gun, once against 3 masked men with guns, which made me switch from a H&K P9 to a Berreta 92, after slowly emptying my only mag, as they shot at me, and ran away, when their car didn't start.
In conclusion: I LOVE Guns!
Eventually, I will be getting a Sig P365 because I was lucky enough to play with at the Shot Show....
Any Questions?? LOL

For the past 4 years, a Glock 23 and Ruger LCP. I just picked up a Kahr PM9 and have been carrying that and liking it, so I may be changing to that soon!

Was planning on carrying my P365 by now, but that's on hold. So, it's back to the M&P .40c or the P229 in .357 Sig. I do enjoy carrying a J-Frame 'Smith as well, and never feel under gunned carrying it.

Safe shooting and tight groups,

SD

Other weapons on permit are a Glock 33 also in all three calibers listed above and a Dan Wesson Cob that Iím still running trial tests on to prove reliability (so far 700 rounds in a row with no failure....will probably start carrying after 1500 rounds with no failure)
Depending on the issuing agency you may find yourself in a heap of trouble if caught carrying a gun modified to shoot a different caliber than that specific firearm is listed as on your permit.

Depends on my mood. Most days itís a Browning Hi-Power or a 1911 variant in 9mm, IWB. Sometimes with a G43 in an ankle holster as backup.

If I have to wear a suit, then the G43 in an ankle holster is what I can get away with. I can also pocket carry the G43 in khakis.

Glock 23 or 22 the majority to the time.
I have a Kahr CW9, G27, and an LCP, but I rarely carry those. I feel under-equipped with the LCP. I'll occasionally carry a commander size 1911 as well, but I like the capacity of the Glocks.
Based on my lifestyle and the fact that OC is legal in Texas, I don't really see the need for me to carry a micro or even a subcompact pistol. I find myself carrying a compact or full size gun most of the time.

It took me several years, numerous pistols (over 2 dozen) and lots of trial and error to home-in on what I really liked.

At the moment, there are at least 6 of them that I like (Glocks, HKs and 1911s), and I can shoot them all well. Carry them all well. They all work for me.

But if I had to choose ONE, just ONE that does it all and can be my everything gun?

I've thought about it a million times and I always go back to one of the earliest CCW pistols I got ... it's the Glock 27.

With a conversion barrel and mags, it's one of the most versatile pistols ever made, for so many reasons.

CZ RAMI 9mm . It is a little heavy , but I could lose a couple pounds before worrying about 8-10 pistol ounces

When I had a CHL last I carried a Glock 32 (13x357) and a Keltec P32. Once I return to America and get a CHL again I'l probably still carry the G32 but I have a little S&W Bodyguard 380 CT that I'll change the 32 acp out for.

I carry a Glock G42 as a BUG and when I can't carry anything else, like at the beach in my swimsuit.

I carry a S&W M&P40c in the Summer and a Smith 1006 (about the same size as a FS 1911) in the winter.

Both are carried at 4:00 IWB thanks to Crossbreed quickclip. Both holsters were modified to give 15% cant
