Default CCW in a National Forrest

I was curious because I have the opportunity to relocate... If you live in a home that is located in a National Forrest and is "unincorporated" when it comes to the county of Los Angeles, what are your additional options, if any, with regards to where you file your application?

It is in LA County so you would still be a resident of the county. National forest has nothing to do with it as CCW is issued by the county not federal government.

SOL unless you are bigwig in county or have a dire need. Living in forest means you eat fruits and nuts and are sol anyway.

open carry might be possible, you would have to check with the ranger.

National Forests are concurrent jurisdiction, meaning ALL of the states laws apply... AND Federal laws covering the forest. People sometimes think the forest is a free for all, but its really just that you are in an unincorporated portion of whatever County you're in that allows you to shoot. LA county has prohibitions on shooting in a lot of unincorporated areas also so you need to make sure you're not in one of those areas whether or not it's a National Forest.

Also, if you aren't allows to shoot, you can't carry without a CCW.

One can carry to and from hunting or fishing expedition if having appropriate licenses, can't you?

25640.
Section 25400 does not apply to, or affect, licensed hunters or fishermen carrying pistols, revolvers, or other firearms capable of being concealed upon the person while engaged in hunting or fishing, or transporting those firearms unloaded when going to or returning from the hunting or fishing expedition
Probably should have a fishing pole, too.....

A few years ago, a former sheriff of LA County trained a few people and made them special reserve deputies. He then authorized them to have CCW license. Maybe you can be a sizable contributor to sheriff's election campaign.
