Default Panoche Shoot-Anyone Interested?

I was thinking a shoot at panoche might be fun. Haven't been to a shoot or anything but if more people would be interested maybe we could get something going. Maybe Feb sometime? After duck season at least, not that I've been getting any

I guess there are people interested . Anybody have any suggestions for a date? How about Feb 9? It's the 2nd Saturday in Feb. That will give a little more than a month to get ready. I have a romy build I would like to finish before the shoot but whatever works.

I would be interested also. I have a few friends that would surely show up too.

Ive been trying to get out there for quite some time. Me and a group were going to head down there on Sat, but the rain kinda ruined that plan! O well. Anyways, ill be keeping an eye on this thread. Sounds like fun to me.

I could probably make it too. There are spots to shoot that are easy to get too as far as roads go. I like to shoot down by the old shot up car, but it would definitely be 4x4 terrrain in the mud. But the main roads and trails have quite a bit of gravel too. How about we just say second Sat. in Feb. and play it by ear as far as weather goes?

I'm In! I've been wanting to go shooting out there for a while now.
I'd be up for anytime in February if some of my stuff wasn't in pieces....so I'd prefer a date in late February...Backorders got me on hold.

Laziness has me on hold I have another Romy kit that needs to be built, and two Stag builds that I haven't shot yet.

So have we settled on a date yet? How does Feb. 16th sound?

I was out shooting at Panoche yesterday and it was really nice. Arrived about 9am and it was very foggy, visibility was about 100 ft after you passed the house past the gate. It burned off by about 10am or so, temp was about 50 degrees. It wasn't muddy but some dumbazz dumped a large load of garbage at the first gate and it ended up blowing all over. As always pick up after yourself and take a little more for those that don't!

+1

Folks, if you plan a Panoche shoot, please pick up everything you bring in and as much other garbage that you can carry out with you. Myself and a few others have gone to the (now yearly) Oct clean up activity and I'd hate to see it buggered up again this year by inconsiderate shooters.

What is the max distance you can get at the group shoot location? I've been there in the summer when first gate was locked.

I shot at Panoche on Sat, max target distance was steel set at 800 yards! It was really foggy in the morning but cleared up pretty fast. I'm not sure what distance you'll get from the group shoot location.

I'd like to know where you were shooting... can you drive out to the target area? I have some steel that I really dont want to carry 800 yds.

Pm me if you like with directions.

Thanks!!

Where is the "Normal" group shoot location? I'm going out there tomorrow with a buddy to shoot a few rounds and wanted to check it out. And don't forget to vote in the poll for the date
