What do you people consider a reasonable amount of time for contact? I'm sorry, but initial troubleshooting and skill of the shooter aren't the problem here. The OP said he had a problem, sent it to BCM, and they said there was nothing wrong. 3 weeks ago they said they would send it back and now he hasn't heard from them and they're ignoring him. I don't see how that's NOT a cause for concern.
Seems as though they were in contact a week ago.

What's the deal? You said results on Monday. Today is Friday and I haven't heard from you guys. You've had the upper for over a month. I am trying to not lose my patience, but how would you feel? If you're too busy to fix my upper, just send it back and I'll have no choice but to handle it on my own.

Sent from my iPhone

Their reply:

A representative attempted to contact you Monday afternoon to discuss the results but did not reach you. If you are available today, we would be happy to contact you again and whatever number you say is best.

Thank you,

I had no missed calls or voicemails whatsoever.

Who is fanboying BCM?

OP PMed me calling me all sorts of names (mostly ***ed out) as well as a BCM fanboy. Odd when I've not said one positive thing about them on this thread.

Then don't worry about it. Get off the thread then. You have no skin in the game and don't know what you're talking about. You have been trolling my thread implying that I'm stupid so if you wanna talk, let's do it.

I'm not worried about it.

No one other than you has skin in the game for this issue but I do know what I am talking about.

Trolling is not disagreeing with you. I'm not implying you're stupid at all. I'm stating that you chose to handle this poorly and that you seem to be the only problem since BCM ruled out the upper and you ruled out the scope and mount. One of you could be wrong, but without proof I'll choose to believe both of you.

you assume it comes with the rail.

IF I was BCM, I would have negotiated with the rail supplier to provide me with the rails in bulk OEM white boxing. Just bubble wrap 50 rails and put them in a box. I would have them not provide me with wrenches for each rail so I could save $5-10 on each rail. Just provide me with a couple wrenches for the production line.

That makes sense. That's not what they told me, and honestly all this doesn't matter. They said my upper is fine and they'd ship it back.

well, until it shows up, nobody knows.

it might have had an issue and they tore it apart, looked at it, didn't find anything and when they put it back together, its now actually fine just from reassembly.

or, they tore it apart, found something, fixed it, and now its fine. but they just said that it is fine, not wanting to admit to sending out something bad.

bottom line is that you have to wait for it to show up and then see how it shoots. spend a couple minutes boresighting it and you know if it is even close before you send the first round down range. even with a quick look down the bore to get it sighted in should have you on paper with the first shot.

Yes sir. Thanks. My complaint is the lack of communication and the timeline.

OP, just do this.

when it arrives, test fire it again, if it still f'ed up, do a charge back on your credit card. i would recommend installing magpul iron sights just to be sure.

and if it doesnt arrive, then do a charge back as well.

thats it.

What is disappointing is the time the repair is taking especially for what they charge for their products. AR stuff is so over priced.

Whether or not he knows how to zero a scope, there is no excuse for the timeline. At this point he doesnt care who was right or what barrel is crooked, he just wants the upper returned and I dont blame him.

Just if you ever send anything to BCM don't expect it back when they say they will send it back. And do not expect them to return phone calls or reply to emails. Lasers and bore sighters at this point don't matter. I paid for the upper, and was told I'd be getting it back. If I was a newb to the sport and was wrong and didn't know how to zero a scope , do you think BCM or any company should be able to just keep the money and product?

How so? What would be acceptable? 3 months? 4 months? How long would you be ok with if it was your upper?

Dealing with a company that is #1 in the AR spotlight with limited manufacturing capacity requires patients, I've had one bum upper out of 5 from bravo they made it good but it took myself 1.5 months for me circa Q1 2015 they ended up replacing it.

He's saying that you cannot clearly communicate and that is probably a contributing factor to them taking a long time.

If you're as unclear on the phone as you are in many of your posts then I tend to agree.

I only had one phone conversation with them and it was clear. They said they would send it back. I posted my email interaction with them. As you can see they clearly asked me to send the upper in. What has you so confused?

I know you're just trying to be condescending but how would you feel if it was your $750 upper and you were being bull****ted?
Nothing that you have posted until now states this. When did they state that they were shipping the upper on 3/18? During the phone call? Did he actually specify a date or just say that they would ship it back?
