What year are they? I looked on the Winchester site and didn't see a Classic Sporter LT. Is this what they list as the Sporter?

Are these both long action or would they be called medium action?

What are the barrel lengths?

Medium action? Sorry, they are short or long and in this case being a .270 and 300 win mag, both are long action.

The 270 is actually built on an action that's halfway in between a Medium and a Large - a "Marge".

Kind of like Bruce Jenner, but the rifle still has a bolt.

O.K. lets clarify. long action cartridges like the 270 / 30-06 and the standard magnums cartridges like the 7mm mag / 300 win mag / 338 win mag have approx. the same overall cartridge length and fit into a long action. The only difference would be the bolt face is .473" for the non mag and .538" for the magnums and magazine capacity is 5 rounds for the standards and 3 rounds for the magnums.

OP, those are some very nice rifles that you have there. You ought to reconsider your position on shipping, and then post them on 24HourCampfire. They'll sell.

Thanks Gasman , I would prefer to sell them local. The campfire is an option that I may use if local buyer doesn't come along.

Don't mean to screw up the OP's thread but the in-betweener action is actually called a "Merge"

Beautiful rifles btw, good luck on the sale.

DZ357.........Don't pay too much attention to the Gasman and Trevor. They are Southern CA boys who hunt every animal with a 30.30, rabbits, squirrels, sparrows, etc. I'm dragging them to Colorado to hunt elk in the fall. They should buy your rifles before I do. Hey would have better luck with them!

Thanks Bull Elk. Good luck in the fall. I'll be in Utah doing the same.

While you guys are enjoying a naming convention I'm bumping for the new guy.

Long, short, medium action ? It's how you shoot it that matters.
