Default Ammo supply opening up?

I know that some store shelves are still bare but I'm not having any issues finding ammunition online anywhere. Obviously, the more some are willing to pay, the better the supply. Anybody else seeing this loosening up?

I shoot no matter what, BLM yesterday. I'm not willing to get smoked on prices unless I absolutely have to, I've had ammo awhile. Deals are out there, gotta be quick, or ya get nothin'. I just shoot certain calibers slower nowadays.

If you're paying those prices it's not "opening up" it's an opportunity for the seller
There's certainly a lot of price gouging but the point is that supply doesn't seem scarce if you're willing to look deeper.

New guns, on the other hand, are much more scarce than ammunition.

Most big ammo users shoot too much anyway. It's like riding a bike or having sex. If you need 1000 rounds a week to stay proficient, you are fooling around, not training.

Deals are still out there, just have to spend time looking. I just got 9mm Gold dots and HST for $28/50 round box. Plinking ammo seems harder to come by at reasonable prices.

I shoot almost weekly because I enjoy it. I'm already quite proficient. People keep drinking booze when most are already proficient at getting drunk too....

May I ask where? Most reloads seem to be fine for me.

You hit the nail on the head. There are many who rarely shoot one box a year who are now buying up as much as they can find out of fear.

Reloads at that price are not uncommon. Factory ammo would run up to $100 more for 1000 rounds.

you're right that's about the normal price.

The issue is where to find them because none of my normal sources have then. That's why I asked "where".

I troll gunbroker.com and have been able to score some deals on auctions.

And will drink less when booze costs more. You aren't disagreeing with me.

When I go to the range now I'll only shoot 20-50 rounds of 9mm, then switch to .22lr. Unfortunately, .22lr is tough to find, too.

Just found a single box of Tula at Walmart in both .45 and .40 for 14.97. 50 rounds. Bought the .40. They say they're getting it in, but it sells quick and takes about 5 days to get a new order in. They order as it runs out.

Gonna start making my partner check when he goes into town a few times a week. After paying 35 for the last box of 50 Speer I'm absolutely thrilled.

no issues finding it online either OP, just not willing to pay these rates. I wish more ppl shared my opinion, these prices would drop much faster if so...
