Cool Maverick 88

I really don’t want to use this, I am hoping for intimidating.

That is awesome! How do you like that shotgun? I've been wondering how those are for the price....

For the price. They are nice. I'm sure a higher end shotgun will be more solid but the price I'm happy with the one I got. Can't be beat.

I have one and they are damn nice. For 200 bucks I don't think you can find a better deal on a shotgun. I have a kicklite stock and wow, I feel absolutely NO recoil. Have shot many shells through it and have yet to experience a jam. Cheap, reliable, and it works, just like an AK.

the only difference between a Maverick 88 and a regular mossberg 500 that I have been able to figure out is how the handguard pump mounts on the gun. I have had 1 since 2002 and it has never let me down

Default MAVERICK 88

The Mavericks are a bargain. If someone needs a shotgun these will definitely fit the bill. The best price I've seen on them lately (no sale) is $213 at a LGS. Of course you have all your fees (tax, dros) but hey, it's a solid shooter!

I believe Mossy 500's & 590's also have a tang mounted safety (making it amidexterous) while the Mav 88's is on the trigger guard. Someone correct me if im wrong.

I'm thinking of picking one up even though I have a 500 and an 870 already. Can't have too many...

I like mine but I'm selling it here. No one in the family wants to shoot it except me. And everyone has to use it if it's a home defense weapon. Dad's still the toughest, ha!
