Trying to take this one a new direction. The scope mounts are quick disconnect as is the bipod, can still run it in a course but I can also take it to the desert and blast steel.

Leupy VX-III in Warne rings, 202LM. The 40mm objective just barely clears, they are .525" tall, top of base to bottom of tube. It came with the extended rail and I have never really used it, I am more or less messing around. If it works out I may keep it like this.

I'd look at the new 2-MOA T-1 in an ultra low mount, say AD-T1-L, Leupold Delta Point, as well. Playing around with a scope right now, but the RDS at a 100y steel range or even 25y indoor is/was a TOTAL hoot. Thank God for QD...

I find it funny that the majority of these I see have nothing on the rails but maybe rail covers! Still look cool though

In the case of the SCAR there really isnt an option sans rails, where as there is on the ACR and M1A. AWB issues aside I would be interested in trying a socomII with a stubby vfg.

Got a Socom II with extended rail. Unitized the gas system, Sadek Ti coated piston, Narrowed the front sight, Sadek National Match spring guild, 5lb trigger job, lightened the hammer for quicker lock time, Baretta BM59 extractor, custom urban camo. Shoots fantastic.

Honestly, it doesn't even need an optic to be fun. The stock sights are more than sufficient for 100y and in; watching the dust pour out of the ceiling after each shot is epic. She's a thumper, like the Harley Davidson of short .308's.
