Also....when I opened the Aimpoint box...the lenscovers were a little dusty or something....so it got on the optic in the picture...

Not a stupid question.

Holds a single AA battery.....the Optic can stay on for like 7-8 years without a battery change.

All kidding side, your rifle is awesome as I mentioned before. Very clean build. Not a bunch of mall ninja crap or Bubbadized.

I think it looks great, I would take off the sling hooks and install a single point adapter.

I was thinking about a 18" - 20" something that begins with a six....and ends with a five.

I like it alot....the grip surface is nice and "Grippy"....and its cool to be able to store stuff in there. I like the Medium size back-strap it came with.

Nice looking rifle.

Bad news on that Aimpoint though. Ones marked "Made in Sweden" are US government property and illegal for civilians to own according to the head of Aimpoint's customer service department (talked with him on the phone about this exact issue last year).

Also have seen some threads on ar15.com stating representatives from the Dept. of Defense have shown up on people's doorstep asking for their property back.

That last part could be true, could be . But the "Made in Sweden" = US Gov't Property is 100% true.

Could you possibly post a link to verify the claims that Aimpoint's with the "Made in Sweden" marking are illegal....or government owned? Show me a little bit of proof please....thanks.

Ok, found my notes.

Contact him yourself: Tom Sziede (pronounced ZeeDee), 1-877-aimpoint or info@aimpoint.com

I had better luck calling and talking to him in person (though it took a couple tries).
