It normally does not reopen to public until after the first week of December.

I am not close enough to confirm whether it is open or not.

There are usual talks about them closing it down forever due to trash and recent fires.

Please help the shooting community by cleaning up. Also assist and help our efforts on scheduled clean ups if you're available.

I was there the last weekend it was open too, and I'll absolutely verify there were plenty of people shooting.

It just so happens the last weekend it was open was in June.

Was there a sign out there that said CLOSED due to fire restriction? If there was no sign then they might be open. If the sign is still there then that means people out there are shooting illegally. You can get fined for it if you get caught.

I haven't bothered to go out there since June.

Because it's closed for fire season.

As far as I know the fire restriction for target shooting does not extend to Imperial County. There are some sweet shooting spots out there. I went shooting at superstition mountain July this year, 115 degrees out! Had the whole area to ourselves. Totally worth the drive.

Still has Closed Sign up but someone sprayed graffiti all over it, I drove by there yesterday to check. Maybe after this weekend's rain it might open up.
