Default What are you actively doing in support of the Second Amendment

I teach newbies gun safety and the proper use of firearms. I have been doing it for years. Just recently I have focused on educating kids in the second seeing how public educayshun is destroying their minds.

Since the florida shooting we have trained

(7) High school age kids
(7) College age kids
(2) Adults

My ammo my guns.
I have at least 20 more high school kids and 4 more college kids scheduled in the coming months.
Most of these kids have never handled or fired a gun, and many of them are scared until they get educated.

One of the college girls I took out today, was curious but scared.
When she learned the gun safety rules, and practiced with real guns and no ammo, she seemed more confident.
Going to the range for live fire, she was extremely nervous (but calmed down after seeing the gun did not bite)
First 20 rounds she couldn't hit the broadside of a barn (.22 revolver).
After we figured out it was her sight picture, she was hitting every thing she aimed at and gained confidence and had a great time.

What are you guys doing?

Carry every day. When the grandkids come out (weather permitting) we head out into the desert and do some shooting. I make sure that they know what they hear about guns in school and on TV is bull poop!

Introducing my kids to shooting, right now it's my 8 year old. And teaching all 4 of them about the second amendment and to ask questions and not to blindly trust the government. It's a fine line talking to young children wanting them to trust the police if they're in danger but at the same time not teach them the institutionalized mindset of today's America.

Nice scientific conclusion.

Many of us do things every week: talking to our friends, taking people shooting, helping local gun stores stay in business, etc. It's all about being positive and consistent.

Shutting down a business in California that generates between 250-300k a year, employs 3-4 people with a great salary and moving back to America.

Donate to CRPA (life member) and NRA. Donate/support grass roots people like MAC. Teach my four kids about our rights to own these tools. Take friends and coworkers to the range. Force anyone who wants my help with guns to join gun rights groups. Speak with them about the liberal agenda to screw them over. Help friends assemble and sight in rifles. Teach friends how to reload their own ammo.

Used to call and email politicians but that doesn’t go anywhere in CA.

I think there are literally thousands of us who take newbies shooting, talk facts about the realities of guns and the 2nd Ammendment and encourage newbies to join orgs that fight for our rights. I also have shamed many of my hunting and shooting friends into joining the NRA or CRPA etc.
The problem is we can't compete with the volume of people the schools and media have access to.
The majority of the population in this state are completely entrenched in their ideology from years of indoctrination, don't want to lose the freebies or simply can't or won't think for themselves.
We'll keep doing what we do but i think the levy is broken.

I've been fighting this battle since 1985-1986. Growing up in Texas and Louisiana, firearm possession is just something you do.

Owning firearms has never been a hobby to me.

I try and do my part as I love everything with a trigger pretty much. I try and introduce people into the sport every chance I get. I help people understand these ridiculous laws and help them comply once they actually own a firearm. I teach friends, family, and coworkers everything I learn so they can pass it along and spread the word to their friends and family. I try and educate the brainwashed ( by media and fud ) its a challenge but you can get through to people and you can actually see the light come on when they start to understand and realize the bull**** lies the media conveys. I donate to the NRA, CRPA, Calguns, and the FPC. If everyone did a little it would go a long way for our 2A community.

I ship hundreds of guns to CA every year. Each gun that crosses into CA is like a big middle finger to Sacramento.

I support the AZCDL, NRA, GOA, and NSSF.

The Boy scouts are very regulated on what guns the kids can shoot and where. I offer non-BSA sanctioned get togethers and let the kids shoot machine guns and bolt guns on my range.

My son like to "take" me to the local indoor range for the free Father's day range time. While there I let the kids 10 and under shoot a full auto .22lr while the parents video. Hopefully it sticks in their head that machine guns are no different than any other gun.

I take non shooters to the annual outdoor expo at the local outdoor range where they can shoot guns, bows, try fishing, and learn about wildlife.

Most importantly, I have immersed my son into the firearm world since he was 4. He has no fear or fascination with guns. They are tools to him and are treated with respect. He loves shooting long range and machine guns to the point it is just a part of life. I know if that way of life is threatened he will not sit on the side lines and watch his rights get stripped away. Hopefully he will pass those values down.

but are you multiplying the newbies? In the last ten years, I have taken around 300 newbies shooting? Now they seem to be multiplying faster. Next week I am taking out (5) more curious college kids, referrals from other college kids.
