Practiced with my bps upland model shotgun by shooting Skeet. Set up account for Propane delivery. Enjoyed the view from 4500 ft up on my balcony while watching the covies of Quail running back and forth...

Researched mini trail bikes, installed digital antenna, started conversion of all lights, spotlights and motion detector floods to leds.

Ordered additional 1000 rounds of factory ccw ammo.

That's interesting. Fall/early Winter tapping is known, but unusual (in the Vermont/Quebec line, anyway). (No, I've never done it, but I've visited a sugar shack in MI a couple times; I'm a happy consumer of the old 'Grade B' syrup.)

Compared to a Spring tap, about what % sugar is your sap now?

I did it at my house after my truck was burglarized and caught some great pics of the UPS guy, the mail lady, and a couple of JW's. I just moved it up to Big Bear and I'm hoping to catch something more interesting. We get bears and 'yotes on our road from time to time.... pretty much hoping for that kind of thing.

Wife and I did a little talking, taking the recent fires and now mudslides, about what we would do if the hill behind our house was mud sliding at us. Going to redo some of the prep locations within the house to help in making a (I hate that I'm using this term) a "safe space" in the house where we (wife & kids) could huddle in case we can't get out.

Refilled my empty propane bottles. Got a 7.5 gallon bottle from Amazon so now I have 5- 5 gallon and 2- 7.5 gallon (or there abouts )
Bought two 5 gallon gas cans and now have just over 30 gallons with Stabil. Ordered a firing pin assembly for my G19 and pretty comfortable with installing it. I figure I can have a pallet of 9mm but it's useless if the firing pin takes a crap...

Told her to ignore all those mean things Sacramento is always saying about her.

Up until now I have been handling my water prep by just buying 1 gallon jugs from the 99 cent store and using a few here and there, taking the older ones for current use and replacing them with new ones.
But it's a bit of a hassle as you can imagine and it is very limiting.
I'd rather get a couple of 55 gallon water drums and put them in my garage if the water's shelf life was decent. I'm not that familiar with water storage long term.

How long can water be stored in water drums before it gets funky or whatever? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
My main concern/prep is for post earthquake survival as I live near the Newport-Inglewood fault and cannot do anything about that for the time being.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Realized that my preps will last me twice as long now that I got rid of my lying cheating whore of a girlfriend

Seriously though, I added 15 more rolls of paper towels and about 40 more rolls of toilet paper. Also going to add some more Aquatainers to the bedroom closet to at least double my current water storage. Apartment prepping at its finest.
