Glad to see progress. How are you determining who gets there products shipped first? I was like the 5th poster in this thread and have not had my items shipped from the first two batches? Or maybe it's because I was later on my payment Either way, glad to see this getting fulfilled!!

Package arrived, and everything looks great. I like the way the frame feels in my hand, and I'm sure I'll like it a lot more once it's finished. Is it weird that I like the smell of gun oil that lingers after I finish pawing the parts? One very minor suggestion/quibble from a very happy group buy participant: The AK47 on the shipping label is just a little... well, let's just call it "concerning" given the attitudes toward firearms in this state. Again, NOT a complaint and I am very pleased and grateful for all your efforts Aimsmall.

The mags will not fit until you remove the 2 bumps inside the magwell, there are also 2 bumps that prevent the MSH from sitting in all the way that will need to be removed, this is by design. Single shot exemption would be satisfied with a 6 inch barrel and the bumps in the magwell left in place for test fire...

Default KTO

Package came in today Thanks Aimsmall!!!

Checked the mag fit, Mag will not fit until you remove the bump at magwell opening. Also the same on my KTO frame from the 2012 group buy.

Does anyone have a parts list for the RIA kits, I have 3 kits just wanted to make sure I have all the parts.

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm working on making a jig for these that is geared towards finishing the frames on a drill press with a milling table or a manual mill. I'll let everyone know once I have more info to share but for now I just wanted you guys to know I'm working on it.

I'm down for a jig depending on price range. A tutorial and tooling list would be really nice also.

Tool list will be included with detailed instructions featuring color pictures for every step. For guys using the drill press I think the hardest part is going to be setting the depth accurately, DRO's are very helpful with the 1911 builds.

I don't have pricing on anything yet, we are still designing the jig, the goal is to create a 3 sided jig like our AR jigs that will guide where all your machining needs to be done.

In case anyone is still looking for a frame, kit, and four mags.... I'm just not going to be able to complete this one (health and other reasons).
Aims just sent my package (DPmax 1KC1R4M 1BP MO $705 + $70 = $775)
If someone wants to buy me out send me a PM and we'll make arrangements for $750.

Thanks.

Easy cowboy...zooming in on the picture, if you follow the contour of the bump and pay special attention to the seam. Again, Judging from the pic, the seam starts to ramp up right where you're mag is hitting. If you're building to SSE it, leave til registered. If you're not gonna register it, file the bump and surrounding area flush. I'd be willing to make a gentlemans bet that your mag will clear once it's filed flush...

+1, it's hitting the seam. There are a lot of small details on these frames that will need cleaning up, but it's nothing some careful file work and critical thinking can't fix.
