Default I am going to start reloading 9mm....where to find

I just bought a Dillon 650. I have a 5 gallon bucket full of 9mm brass, primers and powder. All I need now is bullets. I have never reloaded before. Where can I get plated bullets from? I would like to buy in a large amount like 5000, 10000 or 20000 since I have gone through 1000 rounds shooting over a two day weekend practicing. I know regular ammon has tripled in price but what about bullets? What are "NORMAL" prices I should expect to pay???

Xtreme for plated, Precison Delta and Montana Gold for jacketed (which I prefer).

You won't regret reloading, with that Dillon you can really crank them out as well.

Xtreme for plated, your a little late on the group buy, but were getting 9mm for like $60 per 1000.

Even paying full price Xtreme is still probably the cheapest around. If you can bump your order to 25000 they will give you dealer pricing though.

Shipping only takes a day or two since it ships freight, but costs a couple hundred bucks.

By comparison Berry's are $79 per 1000 through Grafs with free shipping

Thanks, just nabbed 1k 124gr JHP, got tired of waiting for the Remington Golden Saber JHP I normally use to get in stock anywhere. Only bummer is they wouldn't let me order more than 1k. Might have to try calling and seeing if they will sell me 4-5k more.

You could have bought a case of 3750, which works out to about $92 shipped per k. They are limiting sales to one case per bullet, per week, so you'll be able to buy more next week. I'd email & call them, maybe they can change your order to a case.

IMHO casting which is (ALL I use I do my own) can have headaches that a first time reloader does not need when starting out. Even store bought cast boolits vary in quality, size, hardness etc I would look at cast when you have your 650 all figured out and have loaded perfectly good ammo for a while, than find a mentor for casting or at least read all you can start with the
cast boolits site.

Just added a case to order so I have about 5k coming. Was initially thinking I wanted to test with 1000 first, but after considering it may be a while before the Remington GS JHP I usually use become available again I went ahead and added a case on top of 1k order. Now I will have these and still have almost 5k of the Rem GS too. Happy camper time :-)

x2

I started casting boolits when I first got my Pro 1000. I finally got things ironed out but really you don't need the extra headaches when learning how to reload.

Sure it's not the hardest thing in the world but why complicate your life. It added a lot of headaches.

Unless you are fairly desperate or they are dirt cheap I would stay away from Armscor anything. I have found their quality control to be the worst of anything I have ever tried. Large variances in weight, concentricity and even small diameter differences were found the one time I tried some Armscor bullets. Have heard of many others finding the same result with their components and loaded ammo.
