This person saved his own life from an armed car jacker, play stupid games win stupid prizes. Hopefully more criminals get wind of their cohorts dying trying to commit crimes.

The story has few details. You can’t use deadly force because your car is being stolen. Hopefully he can articulate how he felt that his death or severe injury was imminent.

If the person stealing the car is armed and youíre in the car at the time? What are you basing that statement on?

Are you serious here? The car jacker was armed, do you think the owner of the car should have waited to see if the perp was just going to steal the car or shoot him and then steal his car. If an armed guy is trying to steal your car, YOUR life is in danger, period.

Yes, you can. You can absolutely legally use force to oppose a forceful attempt to take your property.

What are your qualifications to make such a statement?

Armed carjackings escalate into homicides all the time these days.

Refer to the high profile cases of carjackings that turned into multiple homicides at USC once in 2012 and another in 2014.

A reasonable person would believe that oneself could be killed or grievously injured in the action, and therefore would be justified in using lethal force to defend oneself.

Florida law allows the use of deadly force if you're being carjacked. Don't know about Wisconsin.

Check out some Active Self Protection videos on his YT channel. A ton of carjackings go very bad for the victim. Sometimes they go right for the victim and the scumbag takes the room temperature challenge.
