Default please help me i.d. my mauser

i just got this rifle from my dad. he says it is german but i do not think so

it has no german nazi symbols also it has no czech "brno" or the yugo crest

it has no import marks and it has a straight bolt (not curved) and a german style sling mount on the back. C ould any of you guys help me id were this rifle came from?




on the left side it only is 7.92 and nothing on the right the serial number starts with "ea1"

Maby a better photo of the crest? 7.92 is what the Germans call 8mm (Mauser) and off course Germany was the primary country to us the 8mm as a military round. Many Mausers migrated from there and were remarked after the war. What Proof marks are on the underside of the action?

i don't see any marks on the bottom of the action. and that is the best photo i have of the crest. also all numbers match

M1944 Spanish Air Force...about 98% certain, but wouldn't mind a little confirmation .

Btw, very sweet rifle. How does she shoot??

thank you!!! the last time i shot it i was about 15 i am taking her out tomorrow to blast the desert and compare it to my mosin 91\30

You're welcome. I've seen one before but never owned one. Stick the picture in photo shop or something similar and give it about 70% more fill lighting.

And one more question are these spanish air force mausers particularly rare at all? And why is it there are no more import marks?

I agree about the Model 1944 Spanish Air Force thing, because of the crest and the ea serial number prefix.

If it doesn't have any import marks (double check at the end of the barrel covered by the cleaning rod) then it means the rifle was probably imported before 1968.
