Default Sig P226R holsters?

Does anybody know if holsters for the P226 (non-rail) would fit for P226Rs? I want to get a new holster but I'm not sure what will fit which. AFAIK the only difference is the rail but dimensions should still be the same. I know some manufacturers make P226R specific models on top of the P226 but some others label their holsters to fit both P226 and P226R.

that statement contradicts itself. the rail is a major change in in dimensions. when a manufacturer only list one holster for the 226 and the 226R, it is sized for the larger gun. you'll need one made for a 226R to fit both guns

I bought a safariland holster for a 226 and did not know there was a difference and when I tried to holster my 226R in it, it got stuck and would not come out, I had to disassemble it to get the gun out
Buy the right one

Cool thanks, I have a 226R and never had a regular 226. I wasn't sure which one was bigger.

I was about to pull the trigger on a safariland for the regular 226 just because there was a good deal on it. Thanks for the heads up.
