Yea. Just cut a bunch of amoeba type shapes out of blue painters tape and used that to mask it off.

Wow, that's a lot of taping.... So what's the base layer? White, then dark brown, coyote, final mask then finish with green n tan...

Exactly. I also cut out a ton more of those stencils. It was a lot! I wasn't planning on using any green but ran out of tan at the very end so I had to use the green to fill in and blend a few spots and I liked how it came out.

The base layer is an almond color, I felt white would stand out too much.

Did my carbine too. This one has a lot of green in it! Not sure how I feel about it.

Decided to give "sponge camo" a try on my spare parts build. I was really happy with how it came out! Ended up toning down the green above the forward assist right after I took this photo.

Yep it is- does a great job cutting down muzzle rise, but if you are shooting at a range the person next to you probably won't be a fan.

What type of paint, I'd like to try this. Does it scratch off easy once it drys?

I want to camo my rifle but I have two concerns.
1. Rattle canning expensive (to me) parts.
2. Setting the rifle down, then can't find it.

So I got to thinking, how to paint my kriss vector, what would be a cool way to paint this sucker. And then I started photoshopping some ideas together.

Of course this hasn't been done, just a digital idea/concept. What do you guys think, I'd love to hear some critique good and bad.
Also, the actual art isn't mine. Originally created at Pow wow japan by an artist name OneQ. If I ever did go forward with it, definitely worth getting the artists permission.

Lots of the photos in this thread are disappearing because photobucket sucks.
I hate that so much I wrote a guide to help CGers post pictures easily that last forever. Hope it helps!
