Default Chest waders and wading boots

I'm picking up a pair of 5mm stockingfoot chest waders and I need a pair of wading boots, too.

When you're wearing waders inside boots, do you usually buy boots a size larger than what you normally wear to make up for the extra material on your feet?

I can't stand the stocking waders. Such a pain with the boots.

My Chest waders have the boots integrated into them. 6 years and no leaks.

Costco is selling chest waders with the integrated boots right now. Check those out as they're around a hundred bucks for the whole thing.

You can hit up a sale at cabelas/bass pro/sportsmens warehouse and find neoprene's for under $100.

I don't know what type of hunting (standing in waist deep water) or where (here in the Valley or in bitter cold Oregon) but I recommend 3mm boot foots. 5mm is a sweaty nightmare if you have to walk very far here in the valley. I save my 5mm waders for NE CA or Oregon where below freezing all day is normal.

Thanks for the advice, I'll probably pick up some 3mm waders instead. I tend to have a high body temp, so hot waders are something I'd like to avoid. I'll mostly be in the Yolo/Sac/Grizzly Island area.

So with the 3mm waders should I wear oversize boots or just go with boots that match my shoe size?

Which Costco? I don't see any online and my local store doesn't have any.

the wading boots I have match my boot size, they come bigger to accommodate the waders, I got mine at basspro, their house brand, not the cheapest one but the one above it.

If you buy true wading boots you will buy your normal shoe size since they are oversized.
