Default Magazine - Laws and Glocks

Hello All -

As I am making preparations on this for the near future if I move there.

I am aware that there is no real define laws on how it's done as it has not been determined. I am aware that I would have to place something like rivet /epoxy on those magizines that I have. thats why I plan to worry about this later on until its CLEAR.

What I will do is put the magblocks in the GLOCK 19 GEN3 (Capacity: ‎15 rd) and G23 GEN3 (Capacity: ‎13rd) to make them 10Rds or Trade with someone that have 10RDS GEN3 (might be hard to find)

If I am incorrect about this, Please do educate me since its so wacked.

Buy a bunch of G43s and gen 5s. Yahoos here are willing to pay a grand for them. Take that money and buy all the mags you need.

Hmm, just don't move here and you will not have to worry about our silly laws. Wish I never did, waiting until I can be free again.

Cant avoid that since my whole family is enjoying the southern California's sun-rays and my wife wants to move there so Im the black sheep who is still living at the east coast.

Any ideas on the magazine laws that I should be aware of I know that its not defined yet. I plan to go to the sheriff office and ask them about it but I am not sure if that is smart idea.

With the cost and time of buying mag blocks and riveting mags, it would just be easier to buy some 10 round mags. I've found that Glock mags sell for about $15 each on sale.

Glock gen 5 mags are becoming available to buy. On eBay but like $29shpped. Some gen 3 Glock 19's have feeding problems with the Glock 10rd mags. Gen 5 are redesigned. IIRC

You could also watch on YouTube or maybe pics and find where to pin your mags.

Just fly back and forth from time to time. Or buy a sun lamp, it'll give you cancer just as well as the sun does.

You can't bring in hi-caps regardless. This indecision only affects people that had them in-state in 2000.

If you’re willing to do that, but risk being stuck with them for a bit because of folks lawballing you. Be advised that you’ll have a time limit to register the guns you’re bringing into the state provided they are all compliant with CA law. You’ll have to pay for the registration if you can’t sell them before your time limit. Also be aware of the maximum 5 handgun transaction sales limit. If you go over that you can go to jail for being a dealer without a license.

Great - you're advocating violating Fed law and "flipping" them and misrepresenting on 4473.

You know a buncha Sacramento cops went to jail or lost their jobs for
this very same crap?

You did see Abramski?

Dude, WTF are you wasting time ruining good hicaps? Keep them
outta CA for your future use outta CA - or when mag bans are (we
hope) overturned.

Just go buy factory Glock 10rd mags. They're under $20, last time I checked, from CDNN Investments.

Your time must be more than $20/hr ... if not you've got bigger issues.

California laws are obtuse on how to convert a mag to 10 or less before you move to the state....

Plus you need to clean your mags- inside the mags- should you use them as they get dirty too.

Rivets and epoxy make cleaning almost impossible....

I would just replace with 10-rd mags. I'd be concerned about reliability issues with a modified mag or one with something riveted, glued in or otherwise.

All that's defined is that they need to enter the state with the capacity to hold 10 rounds or less... You choose on how that's done... The "permanent" part of the law is what's up for debate.

Personally, I choose to take only take 10 rounders out of the house. You never know when you may run into a LEO who decides to make up the laws as he goes. I don't think most cops are "gun guys" and they're just going with what they think they know.

wooden dowel cut to currect length and epoxied under the follower. Epoxy in the hole of the baseplate should take care of baseplate removal or a couple of epoxy spots

Love how you spoke on this - Yeah, I just realized that I can get a GEN4 Magazine for the GEN3.

Dofus. I should have google that info first before asking.

Now If I want to have the high mags. Can I take it apart and never use it until I get out of state ?
Since I will not have anywhere to put it but leaving with Sarah Connor in the desert.
