DirtyDave, I agree with you this guy would make someone a good pig dog. Its mother has killed 7 racoons so it runs in the family. I just can't have a dog killing livestock and I got to buy another 4H pig.

It's about as big as a boxer. I had a female growin up and she was one mean *****. Couldn't swim to save her life, drowned in a neighbors pool (she had a brain tumor which probably aided in her drowning)

That's an image from google, not of my old dog.

you're the one who put a piglet where the dog could get at it,
why don't you sleep on it and build a better pig enclosure

no offense intended

I am sure he has thought of it and it is easier for everyone involved to just not have it around anymore.

I have seen boxers and American bulldogs jump over pretty high fences and since we don't know how tall his fence is, it might be cost prohibitive to fix the problem

Yeah and just hard on relations with the neighbor if they have kids that have to see the dog that murdered their pig every day, or something like that.

Sir, no offense taken, the pig was in an fenced in area. The mother of the dog has never tried to jump the 3 plus feet into the pig area before and we have rasied a pig for 4H for the last 3 years.

Living in the country I have learned some dogs take to killing livestock. They kill for the pleasure not to eat. In the country when dogs start attackig your livestock they are put down. Its just a ranch life fact.

Its a 4H pig - where do you think its eventually going? To live in the house with the kids???
(Google 3049 East Vernon Avenue Vernon, CA for the answer)

Ah so that makes it ok for the dog to kill animals and then the meat gets wasted. Got it.

Looking back now i realize it was his pig and not a neighbors.
