Congrats! I have one of those that I bought with my father in law in mind. He liked the extra Glenfield model 60 I had better so this has been waiting its first range trip. Savage make great rifles so it should a good one.

You will no doubt have a bunch of fun with it! Great choice on your first calibre.

If you have not already done so, check into a Hunters Safety of Firearms Safety course, you will learn a bunch of good stuff. And consider getting a safe to store what will likely be the first of many guns.

nice choice man. I started out on a 22 many many moons ago. you could home your fundamental skills and get lots of trigger time for a bargain basement price on ammo.

Congrats man, and yes, it likely won't be your last purchase. These rimfires in particular are very addictive for me. I got a Ruger 22/45 from Turners on Black Friday, can't wait to pick it up.

A bit of advice, your choice in ammo can make or break your experience in the .22 world. Remington is the worst, Winchester is right behind them. Stick with Federal bulk packs, CCI and Aguila. I've always had excellent experiences with these brands. If you live by a Turners location the Federal bulk packs are $17.98 right now until Dec. 27, that is if they can keep them in stock. Enjoy!

Yea Black Friday sales really encouraged me to buy this rifle. From the looks of it seems your ahead of me in rifle count. Don't worry I will catch up soon.
