Default Who to use for CCW training in Las Vegas?

I will be attending a conference in Las Vegas and figured it would be a good time to extend a day and take a CCW class. Second would like to know some good gun shops and good local restaurants.

Iím taking the class at 702 in July. As for local restaurants.... whenever I hang there most of my local friends take me off the strip.

But if you can expense it for work, check out Nobu.

Have a blast!

Front sight will usually run CCW class at end of defensive handgun class. Two birds, one stone. I’ll even give you a great deal on membership at FS

All the classes at FS seem to be 2 days or more. I was looking for a 1-day class.

The training is all day on Saturday. You will need to stay over until Monday morning as the CCW unit at the Clark County Sheriff's Office isn't open on weekends. Get to the CCW unit early Monday morning around 0700 (trust me on this!) as the line will start forming. Getting there early will get you in and out in about an hour. Bring a money order for the fees as they do not accept cash or personal checks. I'm speaking from personal experience on all of this. I've had my Nevada CCW for almost ten years and I'm coming up on my second renewal!

You can get an AZ permit easily by mail. NV recognizes AZ's CCW and you won't need to spend your vacation time/fun time taking a class and going to the Sheriff's office.

All true, however, reciprocity and recognition laws are always changing so getting a Nevada CCW will guarantees me that I'll be able to carry in Nevada regardless of whatever changes happen in this regard. Since I visit Las Vegas and Reno a total of five to six times a year it was worth it to me to get the Nevada permit so as not to worry about it!

Non-residents can apply in any county. Residents must apply in their county of residence. Since the permit is valid state wide it really does not matter which county you get it in!

i did mine at The Range 702. it took one day, and they did a great job. They even loaned me a firearm for the class. (i didnt feel like taking one with me since i had to go to the pd the following day to apply for the ccw, and they dont allow guns there)

Reza at Discount Firearms is an excellent CCW instructor; I've taken a couple of classes, and his was the best, I learned a lot even doing a renewal with him.

I have an AZ CCW, I bought a house in Henderson, a few miles from Vegas. I think my 90 day clock start ticking when I get my Nevada driver license. It has been a tad warm in the 9 days that I have been here.

I just finished the CCW class at 702 Range. The live fire exercises were GREAT and more than i had expected. Way better than sitting there listening to someone talk for the whole day. Really Nice classroom and facility.

Class was held by Archangel Training. Good balance of actual training info, real world examples, Q/A and live fire.

Turned in my app at LVMPD

In at 7:50, out at 8:35.
Iíve heard stories of ppl spending a few hours there so go early and get it done.

Lots of us took a private class from Kurt Gepke in his home in Vegas. I don't know if he is still doing them.

Was convent because he could work with your schedule.
