Job Description

Please submit a brief cover letter describing your firearms assembly experience. At minimum, a few sentences would suffice. Resumes without a cover letter are not reviewed.

80 Percent Arms is expanding and in need of a new full-time Armorer. As an Armorer you will assemble, QC, and test firearms and accessories. Mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills are a must. This position is at our Garden Grove, CA facility.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of semi-automatic AR style rifles required
Experience with Glock pistols
Machining experience preferred, but not required
Prior experience working with guns at a gunsmith or in the military is helpful, but not required
Must be drug-free

Physical Demands:

Required to lift up to 50 lbs
Moderate walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Work outside and inside, around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts
Exposure to metal chips, oil, and some noise

Responsibilities and Duties:

Test fire production firearms according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal quality specifications
Maintain the highest level of safety and cleanliness in and around the product range and assembly area
Support final assembly by performing visual and functional checks to ensure quality and accuracy of pistols
Communicate with shift supervisor and/or line leads to potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues
Ensure that all documentation is correct including quantities and other records
Report defective parts/equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Must be present in regular attendance
Ensures compliance with legal and company policies in his/her areas of responsibility
Maintain knowledge of QC requirements and procedures to ensure proper disposition of nonconforming parts
Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up-to-date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures

This is a full-time position.

Nice. If you'd take a free apprentice/intern on weekends, I'd love to work there just for the opportunity to learn. I always wanted to go to the armory course up at Lassen.
