My cousin made me some soap for Christmas. It is coconut oil and lye.

I use and love Frog Lube. I've used it for years, on my garage door rails.

Once your shooting buddy seizes his firearm with the crud and wants to throw it away, offer to take it off his hands and keep it in the garage for your door tracks.

I remember when Larry was shipping that stuff out of Postal Annex in Shelter Island.

Tried it, decided I didn't need Chapstick in my Glock firing pin channel liner and moved on.

Nope. No excess and it still gummed up. Applied it EXACTLY as instructed.

What happens is when your gun gets hot in the summer, the Frog Lube liquefies and migrates and pools in various spots no matter how lightly you applied it or wiped it down. Those pooled areas are often exactly where you don't want them to be. Then it makes your gun malfunction.

Frog lube is garbage. You are better off with some synthetic motor oil or atf fluid. Frog lube doesn’t hold up to heat, cold temps or time. What redeeming characteristic does it have? I believe it is all natural which should be a good indication that it is not well suited as a lubricant or solvent.

How many of these stories does someone who uses FROG STUFF have to hear before they dump it and switch to something with less flash and more actual consistent proven effectiveness? CLP works. Historically.

Is OP still sold on it?
