Default Any problems buying XDM here for civilians?

I have a buddy moving to Ca.
With him bringing a few guns, legal by way of 10 rd mags but how does it work with the "roster" and PPT?

Thanks.

Sorry for not searching, kind of driving at the moment.

If he moves to califonia and becomes a legal califonia resident then you guys just block the mags to 10 rds and do a ppt which is roster exempt

The roster itself only applies to the transfer of a gun through an FFL, PPTs are exempt. The roster does have an effect on the actual ownership of a gun.

Thats good news.
So it gets treated as a normal PPT.

Thanks.

Edit:

BTW...Roster only applies when buying from a dealer?

I've got the same situation--I'm military & moving to CA, but I'm staying a VA resident. My XDM (10 rds legal) is ok even though not on the roster?

Still trying to wrap my head around all the differences...!

As far as the transfer goes, "yes."

Don't forget that the 10 round limit is not the *only* requirement in CA. Threaded barrels are a big no-no, and if you are talking about AR/AK pistols, you must ensure it's not configured as a "CA assault weapon."

So, make sure the gun itself is legal to *possess* in CA, then transfer it through PPT regardless of its roster status.

Ya, where are you going to shoot it with hi caps? They don't make 10 rounders for those..... unless I'm wrong about that.

Yes they do, for 45 acp!

But you can just block the regular mags to 10 rds, not impossible

Anywhere you want, high cap mags are legal to use and own.

we are citizens, not civilians. civilians are what government kills in their wars.

those don't appear to be permanent. looked at magazine sticky. no mention if permanence is mentioned. it would appear then that with that base plate, even if non-permanent, would make it a 10 round magazine.

is this correct.
