Hello Riverside county Calguns people,

I moved from San Diego to Riverside about a year ago. I mainly shot at BLM land (Dulzura) when it was open to do so but now since I moved I have to find new ranges/spots. Willing to meet some new people since it's just myself and my girlfriend out here that we know. Both of us enjoy shooting guns for fun/recreation. I also love Jeeps, I inherited my dad's 1976 CJ5 which sits in a garage collecting dust waiting for the transmission to be overhauled as well as other upgrades (another money pit lol).

I just purchased some AR500 plates of different sizes so if anyone wants to get together before fire season starts send me a message! I haven't built stands for them mainly because I have limited access to my dad's garage with some power tools.

Corona here. Still looking for a new spot since both my SP and Deliverance got shut down. Sad times (in So Kal) for our great sport/hobby.

I was in Barstow Sunday, I am thinking of looking/scouting the Banning area off the 10 thinking it will be less traffic etc on the way home in the PM hours.

Any suggestions? PM for specific spots.

Thanks!

Yes, I follow them on FB and they posted it yesterday. Said it fell under the same ordinance that shut down SP since they are within Lake Elsinore city limits.

Welcome, and join the club. I need a regular spot too.

Preferably within twenty miles of Riverside, outdoor, ranges to at least 300 yards, and limited supervision.

Oh, nevermind.

Yeah. Sucks though.

With this new gas tax that'll hit at the end of the year, and the fluctuating gas prices, which combined could take us over the $4/gal cost again, desert BLM is going to be even more costly.

I really don't want to go to Lytle, so I think that leaves only Pala as an option if I want 300+ yards. I think other ranges with that distance require a membership.

I agree about Lytle Creek... too policed there!

There is always BLM areas around Indio... but nearly as far as Barstow!

Last article I read about gas prices said we can expect gas prices to drop by possibly 50% by years end?

Default another addition to the Riverside Chapter

Hopefully a helpful or at least friendly addition to the Riverside Ch.

i need me some experienced wise compatriots to dialogue with and learn from in all things guns and insane litigation of The Socialist Nation of California.

Also, I'm down to go hit up some BLW spots nearest to us.

I think technically you aren't supposed to shoot there but everyone does. I've never seen anyone representing the law tell me otherwise. It's off of the 15N and Hodge road just before Barstow. Get off the freeway, turn left and drive down the dirt road until you find a nice place to shoot.

Yep, thats the place. You exit and turn left onto Hodge Road. The paved road will turn into a dirt road and you'll see all the little turn off's into the different hillsides to shoot. The road can be a little bumpy and uneven so you'll need a little ground clearance but nothing major. Its starting to get dirty out there. Someone needs to organize a clean up day.

Its getting too hot to shoot out there now but ill keep you in mind if something comes up.
