Default Minox ZP5 5-25X56

Really considering this scope Calgunners! I have a Vortex Razor Gen2 and it's an excellent scope. I've read a few reviews on the Minox ZP5 but not fully convince to pull the trigger. Anyone have/had this, info advice is much appreciated it. Thanks

Dizzy

We've sold more Minox ZP series scopes than pretty much everyone, if you want any information on them than please call us at 916.670.1103. We're pretty fond of them here

Can't speak to the ZP5 but have experience with the ZV 3 and it is excellent.

I would put the Minox a notch above the Vortex and I believe the Vortex is a great scope.

Agree, Mute. I'll definitely do a comparison if I end up picking up a ZP5. Thanks

Optically, the Minox is the best I've ever looked through.

I run the Minox ZP5 on one rifle and a Razor GenII on another, and both still excite me.

Thanks, HK Dave! I picked a brand new ZP5 with the MR2 reticle off the hide, really wanted a MR4 but it will do fine. The big brown truck should be here tomorrow and I'm excited...haha! Standby for a comparison review. Thanks again.

CS Tactical is great. They helped me with two of the ZP-5 scopes. Optically, they are the best I have used. Their reticles are great too, I have the MR-4. I have other premium scopes that are very good, but not as good optically as the ZP-5.

Go with CS Tactical, they are helpful and informative.

I can only speak of my experience with other Minox products, always top performance in their price bracket. You can't expect $5k performance from a $3k optic, but with Minox you can rest assured you are getting your moneys worth. I have used their binos and photo gear, they been in optics business a very long time, they know what they are doing.

Some of the reviews I have read on Sniperhide with the Minox ZP-5 and Tangent Theta comparisons, state they are both equal in the optical department, and better than Schmidt and Bender PMII. The TT has better turrets (Minox turrets are still very good), and a tooless zero function, while Minox has nicer reticles.

Team CSTACTICAL / MINOX did outstanding among some of the top shooters in the nation. Dan Bertocchini 2nd, Gustavo Carcacha 6th, and Jacob Denny 10th. The CSTACTICAL / MINOX Team does not just rely on their skill but their equipment, that is why they use Minox ZP5 rifle scopes. The Minox ZP5 rifle scopes offer outstanding performance and reliability.

Jacob Denny - "Last weekend we wrapped up the NCPPRC year with our year end December shoot off. While I didn’t have as good of a weekend as I would have liked, I finished the year by winning the Top Long Range title and the overall Shooter of the year title. It was a tough battle just barely beating Brian Sanders for the Long Range and Daniel Bertocchini for the SOTY trophy. Always good times competing with these two. Big thanks to my wife Joy Suzanne Denny for always supporting me with all the matches I shoot. Thanks to all of the other amazing people and companies that support me with really great equipment."

Have you guys ever had the chance to compare the ZP5, TT, and some of the higher end optics to the ZCO 5-27?

OP, I'm in the process of picking up a used one with MR5 reticle. I'm hoping it lives up to all the hype. If it does, I'll be in search for at least one more.

OP, if it helps, I got my Minox yesterday, and had some time to mess with it today. I will say, from an untrained eye's prospective, it's awesome glass. I'm comparing it to a NF NXS, Trijicon TARs, and will try to do a side by side with a SB PMII and Vortex Razor in the next few days. Too bad you aren't in the bay area, or I'd meet up with you to tinker with it before I send it back to Minox. I'm sending it back to them to get a once over because it was beat up quite badly in shipping, and for my sanity's sake, I'd like them to give the green light before mounting and sighting it in. At this point, I have time since the rifle isn't ready yet anyway.
