"A copy of any records associated with an arrest or detention (during your lifetime)"
OK, I don't think they care about the 3 days of Detention Study Hall I got in HS. lol. And I swear I was only in 'the group' when that window got broken by a baseball.
But how do I get a copy of the time in 1981 I was actually arrested, put behind bars(for about 4 hours) for riding a motorcycle without tags and not having my ID on me? Can I just go to County courthouse/records and low and behold I'd be able to get all of my "permanent record" by name/yr search on micro film? They DID take my prints and mug shot. Likewise for my 1982 arrest/deferment for a felony drug (mushrooms)? And my DUI from 1999? No arrests before I turned 18.

You're talking for personal records to see what shows before ccw application?
You can doj live scan yourself, but it can take weeks or months, and costs. They are going to do this in the process anyway. If you know it's there i would just answer honestly and use there's? |

Since you would most likely have to pay to obtain a copy of the records from the court, and it is illegal for them to require that you pay out any fee other than those for the CCW in order to get the CCW, they cannot require you to provide actual copies of the records.
You can only be required to give them the pertinent information concerning the arrest/detention, i.e. the date, place, offense, and final disposition of the case.

Thingy is I'm guessing they don't just want "yeah, I was kinda busted back in 1982 for 'shrooms, you fellas go ahead and look that up if you feel like it". This ain't them trying to sell you something where they will helpfully correct any paperwork. I think it is more like "one mistake and its back to the end of the line, minus any fees you paid".

You can probably do yourself a favor and turn off autocorrect. Took me all of 2 days to do that with mine.
