Turns out he is Nubruns neighbor so he'll have some solid guidance with the assembly process.

Robbies Dad was telling me that when his ticket number was called all Robbie could do was stand there and shake. He does not display much in the way of excitement but winning this dropped that facade. Look at that smile, he never stopped the whole time taking pictures.
I did dress him up in a Zombie Shooters shirt and the ball cap he was wearing had to go in favor of a genuine Calguns logo cap.

Looking forward to seeing the build progress and of course the first shot with your first rifle.

Our gong challenge was incredibly fun and I enjoyed meeting all the participants. There were about 30 contestants throughout the day on Saturday and five were able to hit the 3" gong, three hit it on the first try including my nephew. I didn't get a chance to embarrass them at the pig feast so I'll do it now!!

Duuuuude.

Bump firing any 7.62 battle rifle automatically transforms it from a 2~3MOA gun to a 20~30 YARD gun.

Another thing that is something special about Calguns and the SSZS. IIRC, I was given an Exile grip during 7.0 which I later used on my first lower build. This year I was able to get a Thordsen Custom stock from Alan himself. Cool beans

I’m glad everyone had a great time and wish I could have been there too. I was the Range Officer for the first three when there were only 3 of us running the line. No vests, no radios and we trusted everyone to ensure their weapons were empty before people walked to the targets. It has become much more professionally and safely run over the years and that’s a good thing

I begin PT Monday on my shoulder. Besides the arthritis, debris and bone spurs that showed up on the CT scan, something unexpected and the most serious did not. My dr. discovered during the surgery that one of the two tendons from the shoulder to the bicep was almost completely torn thru and hanging by only a bit of tissue. He released that and I now only have one functioning tendon. This explains the severe and I mean severe pain I had been experiencing. Now it's just the surgical pain and I finally was able to remove the large splint in place since the Oct. 17, surgery.

I have every intention to be there for the next one with my son (he owns the trailer after all) and a whole bunch of my grandsons. My 13yr. old granddaughter decided 5 male cousins in a trailer was too much for her so she's passing unfortunately and she took to the teaching of the retired Marine sharpshooter instructor like a shark to water. From a prone position, she hit the 200 yard gong with her first shot. She missed the first shot at 300, but she listened to his instruction and hit it with the second shot. Don't tell my grandsons but I think she is the best shot and all but one have more experience shooting than her.

No problem, I don't reload so it does me no good. Thanks for helping me sight in my scope.

I still have brass if anyone wants it. Some 223, some 308, and various pieces I found while cleaning up. Most of it is brass but there are a few steel cases mixed in. I am located in Torrance, let me know if anyone wants it.

For natural reasons during a big group of family members personal items may or may not be misplaced during the event.

We are a big law abiding citizen family and rest assure if anything was debited from it's righteous owner , ittl be properly returned to theirs doors steps along with a tank you card.

Packing up the remains of the zombie target was much easier after 3 of us took several magazine loads of 12 gauge slug and buck shot. I may ask for some additional help next time. If this was accomplished with 3, imagine what can happen with 6 able bodied shooters?

No Xavier, I was referring to when we actually went cold. There was Sean Casey, another member who I cannot recall () and myself. I had the electronic bull horn and a couple of those small orange airhorns. All of which I was told no one near each end could hear. Sean and the other member would each check out their side and when I received a clear from them, the members were permitted to walk to their targets. As far as you and anyone else walking the line while everyone was shooting, including the three of us, I didn't reference that at all. Also we were not told we were not to shoot, that we couldn't enjoy shooting. I was referring to what the three of us did when the line was called cold. My point is there were only three of us the first few times and in looking back, that we were lucky. There was one instance if you recall (as I was told) there was a new shooter there with a member. Thankfully they were at the end or near the end of one side. We were cold and people had begun walking to their targets. The new guy decided to shoot a gun down range. Fortunately no one was hit and the member took care of the matter quickly.

I believe that incident, the lack of radios, sufficient people and other equipment were all discussed during a debrief when the event ended. It became so much better and safer after that and that was due to yours and the efforts of others who handled range duties after us. My hats off to all of you.
