Default Bright nickel refinishing in Sacramento area

I have an Colt Detective Special from the 1970s with some minor flaking on the cylinder. Have any of you found a gunsmith or service that will refinish it? I already tried Colt and they don't work on most guns over 10 years old, and the parts dealers only have used cylinder with probably the same defects. It's just cosmetic and hasn't become worse in the 30 years I've had this gun. Thanks for any help.

Colt doesn't support those guns any longer. Whatever you do, DO NOT send it to The Custom Shop, Inc in Hamilton Montana. Total Johnny-Come-Lately charlatan pimp-shiners. They try to pass themselves off as Colts authorized repair and refinish agent. Colt's Custom Shop has recommended them for some work, mainly refinishing, but they are starting to see the error of their ways. I learned it the hard way.
Beware.

You better believe there is. Give me some time to get it all written down, and let the blood pressure get back to normal. Not good to badmouth others in the business, but these clowns need to be outed.
