I had a good time as well. Looking forward to helping out some of the newer reloaders and doing some casting.

Let me know if you need some help.

Great turnout y'all. As I mentioned at the meeting, I am in the southern part of Sac and am willing to help folks out who are down this way ... or help them out at their place with their equipment.

Good meeting everyone. Well done, Ferrum.

Thanks Ferrum for getting the ball rolling. It was a great turnout with some excellent ideas. A very motivated bunch who want to see this club succeed and grow and are willing to share their expertise with others.
This is gonna be fun.

Good Meeting! It was an amazing turnout with a very diverse group... Hopefully we can get a class going sometime in July to get some of the new guys going and then maybe a casting class shortly after that.

And keep in mind, the next meeting will be on July 10th (2nd Wednesday of every month)... Mark it on your calendar.

Well, our reloading club has already born a little fruit. Bewguns and I got together today and did a little bullet casting, sizing and lubing. We cast some .40 & .452 bullets, answered some questions and we both did some learning. Now to load them, shoot them and report back.

Awesome. Glad to see people taking advantage already.

I was thinking, what does everyone think of each bringing a few reloading manuals in? That way maybe we can snap a photo or jot down some data from a book we dont have. Personally I like to compare as much data as possible. What say you?

That is awesome to hear!

Sorry I haven't been responding much, work has been nuts lately! Anyways, I will be getting the email list together, as discussed at the last meeting.

Also, I will be working on putting together a beginners reloading class for July.

Thanks again and anybody that wasn't at the last meeting and wants to attend the next one, please let me know. I want to make sure that it is more reloading oriented this go around.

Thanks!

I'm interested in the class. Will that be July 10, or is that just a meeting for those who are already reloading?

OK... I have an email update that I want to send out for those who have attended or want to attend the reloading club or classes. I have a most everyone's email address that attended the first meeting and have PM'd some people that have shown interest in the past.

If you would, please PM me your email address if you think that I don't have it or want more information on the upcoming 7/10 meeting.

Thanks!

last meeting there was talk about having a "how to reload pistol calibers" class the saturday after the next meeting. I assume it will teach how to set dies among other things which you will should be able to apply to your 650.

also if you list your neighborhood someone may be willing to come over and teach you.

I thought this link might be of some use to my fellow reloaders. If you don't want the download the full program, at least check out the Excel spreadsheet. Those of you looking for load data may find them useful.

Sounds like good times! I reload up in Roseville area and may have to attend one of these meetings. Right now I'm doing about 1k of 9mm and 223 mixed a month on my single stage RCBS.

Trainman. Save up! You might end up buying a progressive with the amount of reloads you are making.

Waiting for the next meeting. Where is everyone getting powder? Looking for Varget and Hp38

Not sure about powder, but I've been seeing a lot of reloading sales up North in the marketplace forum.

Default Cameron Park //El Dorado Hills

I've been saving brass, I don't have a reloader yet.
I'd like to come to the next meeting, or get some experience from
Some one local to me.

Looking to load 30-06 , 308, and 300 blackout.

Before I buy any equipment I was hopping to learn about the different
Styles, single, progressive, ect.

I'm not sure where the meetings are, but I also work in Sac near Watt/50

Thanks.

Just put a Dillon 550B on layaway with 9mm and 223 dies. I figured I might as well just do what I've been putting off for a while.

Do we RSVP for the 7/10 meeting in this thread or do we respond to the email?

I'm planning on being there tomorrow.

I had a question come up about my presentation on measuring COL using a wooden dowel. I'm not the most eliquent speaker, and sometimes trying to explain something that I'm very familiar with, I have a tendency to overlook some of the details. So, I have a link to someone who does a much better job at it than I.

For those unfamiliar with John, he's an Indiana Police Tac/Sniper, who shots a lot of tactical matches. So try this link if you have questions about my presentation.

Where? Enquiring minds might like to know.

On another note, hardware seems to becoming available again. My hardware, ordered Monday, arrived today.

Thanks everyone for answering my 223 brass prep questions. I just finished resizing my brass and after measuring I sorted into a trim and no trim pile.
Just wanted to make sure anything between 1.75 to 1.76 is good to go and anything larger should be trimmed to 1.75. Is that correct?
