Shipping SLR106 AK TO California

Is it legal for me to ship an Arsenal SLR-106 AK to a dealer in California as long as he installs a mag release device before he transfers it? What about removing the pistol grip?

I think not, Arsenal SLR is on Appendix C of the ban list IIRC.

It is make/model banned.
Nothing can be done to make it CA legal.

Maybe, but maybe not. The "all" was tossed out in court. It would be a risk to have it though, even if in the end it is not really illegal.

Also, the ban by name only applies to semi-auto firearms.

I have not been able to find a link. There is only one FFL in CA that is willing to transfer the SLR series of rifles. DOJ will not provide any documentation and not all agents seem to know about the lawsuit that removed the (all). The lawsuit was around 2007-2009.
