Default Handgun Wait Support Group Thread

I bought a new handgun last week and have 4 more days to go until I can pick it up. The days seem to go by so slow!

Anyone else in their 10 day waiting period?

Ahh... yes the 10 day wait. I dont know what it is but the 10 day waits just kill me. I have found that it helps to spend the 10 days buying all the acc. you can find for your new baby so that when it does come home it feels comfortable with teh others.

I can go pick up my newest toy on Monday. Everything should have arrived by then

I'm waiting on a rifle - 4 days, 15 hours to go.............

Scope is coming in the mail, it should get here about the same time..............

My Buyer's Guide and all my magazine articles just don't have meaning any more. The decision has been made.

For me it still varies, from gun to gun. However, it definitely isn't like the first few times. Man, back then I counldn't get the gun out of my mind, like an addict.

BTW, I just PPTed a gun today and yeah, I'm not feeling the jones as hard.

OMG. It's the middle of November, and I didn't pick anything up, have anything in DROS, or need to pick anything up for this month. First time since Jan. Am I addicted to black rifles.....or the 10 day wait?

Default Thank goodness for the wait...

The "wait" is designed for all you hot headed folks who bought that gun with some evil plan in mind to have 10 days to reconsider. Hopefully at the end of 10 days you will have cooled down and cancelled your planned crime.

Of course, if you already own one or more guns it doesn't make much sense, because you are already armed. But we can't expect the government to take that into account. One size fits all.

Ive got a 18 day wait (from 30) before I can even think of another 10 day wait. I just bought a gun and now have to wait the 30 days.

On another note, I was watching that show "Rookies" on A&E and one episode was a rookie cop who went into a gun store in Florida- looking for a personal carry 9mm. The scene was her at the counter, then in the range trying it out, then the store clerk putting the gun case in a plastic bag and her walking out with it! Oh how can this be.......

I know....I know....she is in Florida.

Because, you can only purchase a new handgun every 30 days even if it's in stock.

My whole life right now is spent either in a 10 day wait, or waiting until the next one

One time it took 2 and half months on a custom upper order (lead times were estimated at 4-6 weeks at the time) only to have to ship it back to them (FTE problem) and wait another month for a new one!!!

100+ Days now that teaches a man patience.

I am currently FREAKING out because I started a DROS before my current custom order was started and now I am sweating bullets because if I cant pick up in 2 days the DROS will close and I will have to open another and then wait a total of 40 days!

Just one more day wait (11 day waiting period)...picking up my new FN 5.7 tomorrow

Question:

30 day's per hand gun...does that mean 30 days from the purchase date?

or

30 day's from pickup date?
