It counts because the AR is not all black. That's how the majority of them are.

Here's my DEB-accented M&P-15/Stag AR-15. Since this photo was taken I have added a DEB Raddlock.

Interesting assortment of rifles.
have to say there are a lot of people shooting M16 type weapons with iron sights that don't have their nose anywhere near the charging handle? Is this just not taught anymore or only in the armed forces?

I think it has a lot to do the recent burst in popularity of red dot sights over the last few years. Since they have an unlimited eye relief it is not as crucial to have you head scrunched up real close to the receiver. I was initially taught nose-to-charging-handle in the army back in '04 and still shoot that way just because it's the most familiar to me.

"The soldier should begin by trying to touch the charging handle with his nose when assuming a firing position. This will aid the soldier in maintaining the same cheek-to-stock weld hold each time the weapon is aimed. The soldier should be mindful of how the nose touches the charging handle and should be consistent when doing so. This should be critiqued and reinforced during dry-fire training."

Factory issue pre-ban Armalite HBAR, Match sights and all options and three OD green mags. (un-used and stored). Military Eotech and FTS 4 Power. Zeroed at 100, it hits correctly at 50 to 150 in the real world.

It was already a "non black rifle" before the rattle can job. Under the Krylon is LWRC's multi regional earth(MRE) finish.

Came out really sweet Zach.

Since we're on page 11, I'll post mine again.
Similar... Alumahyde-II plus Rust-Oleum camo and cardboard and paper plate stencils and a pair of fishnets...

Don't know. Got the whole upper at rguns.net (fast shipping but rude) 16" twister barrel. Has a key hole stamp on it just above the forward asst. (see pic above). Shoots nice no complaints.

LOWER= STAG
PARTS= DPMS Didnt like the grip or trigger gard so most likly going to pick up a magpul gard
Grip= ERGO sure grip ( nice rubberized grip with a little give just like a eraser )
STOCK= TAPCO

the mag is a pro mag 10/20 they have crimped the mag at the 10 round limit. Some times the bolt doesn't lock to the rear after the last round tho.

Yup. Brake cleaner and microfiber.

You don't want to strip the anodized coating. That is a hard coating that protects the bearing surfaces, and it would be impossible to remove without media blasting... plus it provides a VERY nice "tooth" for the paint.
