Default Any FFL in the area that does in-person, out of state, intrafamiliar transfers?

Hello all, my parents want to gift me a handgun that they don't use but we are having a hard time finding FFL's in the area that will do an in-person, out-of-state, intrafamiliar transfer. They happened to drive here on vacation for cross-country vacation/road trip and would like to do it while they are here.

Anyone know of any good places that will do it?

Did you try Rob Blank at RMB Enterprise?? You might also try Tracy Rifle and Pistol. UG Imports would be good, I think he is in-op currently though.

And if it is not an off-roster pistol, or it is roster exempt - the intra-family thing doesn't even come into play so that may open more doors.

It is an off-roster pistol, not sure if that matters for this. We were planning on doing UG Imports but they are shut down until November from what I read. I will look into the other ones you mentioned and start there. Any one else have others they may have used in the past they know of?

Thanks a bunch!

It only matters in that now you need to find a FFL who accepts transfers from non-licensees visiting from out of state *and* knows how to process a roster exempt intra-family transfer. So that narrows down the FFL selection a bit, sadly.

Contact Peter Skinner at Mt. Pleasant Arms in east San Jose.

Note that you should have a letter/statement from your parents saying that it is a gift from them to you (and your relationship).

+1 for mparms.com. He's been great when I've dealt with him.

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it. I am going to try and get in contact with them to see which would work.
