Are any of the assortments a good deal at 50% off? Full price seems overpriced. I’d buy one, I know it’s not bad quality but hard to tell if it’s actually a deal or not.

$25/steak?

Really? $40 a pound on sale? I don't think so, jack.

Is this a great deal on meat? No. Is it a good deal to send as a gift for family and friends? Yes.

WOW - I am one of the poor...

Four 10 ounce steaks

$118

Quick Math -
40 Ounces
16 ounces / pound
=
2.5 Pounds of steaks for $118

$47.20 per pound.....

So normally they are close to $100 per pound...

that's twice the price of MASTRO'S in Beverly Hills...

The highest price of steak I paid is the "Prime USDA" steak sell in Costco. . Sometimes I paid 30 bucks extra for the whole steak meal in cruise ship .

Costco blade tenderizes their low shelf "usda prime" steaks.

If you know what to look for, you can find higher quality steaks from your regular grocery store.

McDonald's is super successful.

Quality is not a prerequisite to staying in business.

Well, good point, but many people think the steaks are good quality. Iíve had them a few times and had zero complaints. Granted, they were gifts but I thought they tasted fine. But maybe I donít know what a good or great steak should taste like. Lucky me I guess.

Now, I didnít realize how overpriced they were. I guess if you factor in price, then they are definitely not good for what you pay.

you can get better quality at your local butcher for cheaper...

I use a local butcher and Costco Business Center (for bulk)... both are better quality than what I've experienced from Omaha Steaks in the (distant) past.

Unless they've changed over the years - they are a marketing scam - banking on people not knowing their meat is overpriced and average quality.

But hey, some people love McDonalds... whatever makes 'em happy.

Porter Road Butchers, Porterroad.com, free shipping with a min order. Cheaper then Snake River Farms, good quality meats.

If you happen to live within driving distance of Brea, CA, order and pick up from West Coast Prime. A commercial supplier for restaurants (that currently also deals with the public). $100.00 min for will call, very good quality and selection.

Head over to a Costco business center and buy the roast. Dry age to perfection, then cut into steaks.

Because most people have no idea what consists of a god steak.

I used to get my steaks from this small butcher shop. Here I moved the first place I scouted was a small meat market. And I found one.
