I can't do it right now, bad time of year for me. I donated both before and during the last Kickstarter campaign and I will donate again when I am not in the red. This film needs to be screened.

It is also important to note that the events of the past several weeks have fundamentally changed the game; these developments must be included in the final edit for the film to be relevant. That is going to take more funding. Very simple to understand.

Thank you again, Kris.

God Bless.

$100 more sent.

Being an NRA member is not enough right now. If you have not donated to this round of funding you should be reevaluating your level of commitment to 2A rights and defeating the current anti-gun PR machine that is in full force right now. It's time to get it done and this is an excellent way for anyone to be a part of that.

wow the trolls just manage to infiltrate every little thing on CG sometimes, cant believe people are complaining about this film going over budget and the reasons for a 2nd kickstarter campaign..

this is an IMPORTANT FILM and none of you guys are doing the grunt work to make it happen....plus kris already said that they were hoping for a big donor like a gun company or rich person to donate 1/3rd, and since that hasnt happened yet they are asking for another kickstarter, PERFECTLY APPROPRIATE..

also, even if CG donated the full 180k AND a guncompany donated another 100k we shold throw as much as we can at this....the more money we put into this the better and more refined our message will be....for all the anti gun propaganda out there movements like ASSAULTED are crucial to reach a mass audience!!!

GONNA DONATE 100 REAL SOON!

EXACTLY...some of the guys who are typing and typing all their arguments to kris, while he is actually WORKING on this film, are making me angry.

cant believe yall cant see the bigger picture and that your bickering about a 2nd kickstarter is detrimental to this very important movie.

posted to my facebook i have a bunch of gun owning friends who have been bickering about gun control lately, hopefully they will donate as well..

Very interesting documentary being made about the 2nd amendment, and illustrates its importance in the 20th century and our modern world. Did you know that during the civil rights movement, a small group of african americans used the 2nd amendment to fight off the KKK? And that in the 1940s, the japanese were disarmed before being thrown into internment camps and imprisoned.... AND in the 1950s a renegade sheriff in tennessee was defeated by a local militia who used the 2nd amendment to fight off his tyranny. history repeats itself, dont buy into the gun control BS.....as an american you have the right to bear arms against a tyranical government. dont let the gun grabbers use the emotional tragedy of sandy hook to chip away at your constitutional rights, if they truely cared about ending massacres, banning semi auto rifles (only used in 2% of total gun murders) is NOT one of them. This documentary is funded by private gun owners, NOT the NRA or gun companies, its a grassroots effort!

FWIW...

Anyone on here have connections to "deep pockets" be them private or corporate that you could share with Kris? Seems like that would be helpful. If Kris raised 70K in small private donations it seems that some large pro 2A group or manufacturer would want to cash in on all that goodwill.

I donated first round, will likely do so again. Curious? do my donations get combined or am I going to end up with 2 t shirts, DVDs or whatever it was? I don't need the stuff I am only asking to help keep your costs down.

The rewards are separate for each campaign - to combined them would create a hugh CF. I will tell you the t-shirts for this campaign will be updated to reflect the updated look of the "line in the sand".

"No Reward" selection with your donation helps us the most.

Thanks for the call for assistance.

Filmmaker and shooter -

I don't have the time to follow this thread on a regular basis, but I am interested in your idea. Have you considered submission to various regional film festivals? OC has one, obviously there is Sundance but there are a lot of others which could be easier to get into and offer a better ROI.

I have family in the film industry in both Hollywood and (newly) in NorCal - I can't guarantee cooperation but what I can guarantee is a conversation for supporters. I am in OC and there are deep pockets here, plus talent elsewhere. I don't get on CGN much these days but I would love to see your project succeed. PM me and let's talk.

I thought I put this in already but just to remind people, kickstarter doesn't charge until the project is completely funded. If the funding isn't there, there will be no charge. However, let's not let what almost happened last time happen this time: people saw that we had passed the goal and started reducing their donation, getting close to losing funding

In addition to what Monk said, as a reminder, you don't get charged until February 17th so if you don't have the funds now, you can still pledge now so long as you can afford it by the 17th. There's a least one pay period between now and then for most people so if you're able to budget, you can set aside some funds for this.

I'm posting this reminder because I was holding off on pledging until I remembered this little tidbit and then did so. If anyone else is holding off because of current funds, you can pledge!

The gun parts shortage has left me without an income but I'm kicking in what I can.

If I get my orders that were put in well before the panic buying started I'll kick in a LOT more, but I'm afraid my orders have been stepped over for quick profits.

Is it better to pledge to the Kickstarter campaign or do donate directly at http://deadpatriotfilms.com/assaulted/donate.html?

Hey Kris I just heard you and Brandon both speak on the show. I was really hoping they'd give you more air time and maybe let some people call in but oh well I guess...
I do have a question though; what happens if we don't get enough money this time around? I don't want to see this happen so I'm kicking in another pledge tonight...I wish I could give more but times are tough and I still haven't gotten my donation into the CGF yet :/

Pledged. If the Kickstarter doesn't reach it's goal I will donate the same amount.
