Default ECR Holster for LCP with Viridian Laser

I've been looking for a decent pocket holster for my LCP with a Viridian laser on it. A really cheap one came with the laser, but it is very thin, soft , and flimsy...just not good at all for actual carry.

I already had a nice De Santis pocket holster, but it did not work with the laser to automatically switch it on upon drawing from the holster. Of course, pocket draw followed by finding the small button on the side of the laser and pressing is not ideal in an actual use scenario.

I had a small, thin, strong magnet lying around and decided to try it. Just placing it on the laser, it was really strong and centered itself over the correct area to turn the laser off (I already had it switched "on").

I basically cut a small flap on the corresponding area on the outside right side of the holster, dug out a bit of additional plastic and padding from the middle layers in the shape and size of the magnet, and inserted the magnet along with a bit of gorilla glue. I cleaned up the excess glue and placed a piece of thick rubber tape over the area and placed some weight on top of it until it dried. I picked off a bit of the excess, dried glue and hit the rest with a black sharpie since it was yellowish-white.

It works perfectly and it's much, much nicer than the factory holster it came with. I neglected to take pictures of the process, but this is how it came out:

Just don't put it near your credit card or cell phone unless you want to lose the memory.

I think I'll be okay since I definitely won't be rubbing the mag stripes on any cards against it Smart chips in the cards and flash memory in cell phones are not affected by magnetic fields.
