I ordered mine, got it within 4 days. It's an AWESOME scope for the price point. I'm waiting for them to create a 1-6 with better glass quality. This is by far the best reticle ever created, that I've seen. PA- any news on a "upgraded" acss?

The 6X shown in this thread is the only model available at this time. Other models are in the works but no ETA.

Thanks

I just purchased one for my AR. My primary optic is an Aimpoint Pro but wanted a magnified scope for shooting metal plates at further distances and the Primary Arms 6X ACSS does quite nicely.

OK guys, I've scanned all the threads on the ACSS and I don't see much on what scope mounts people are going with. I bought and ACSS, thinking I had an extra LaRue mount laying around, but the ring size is too big. (LOL at myself; Its always bugged me to more in $$ in glass than the rifle, but I'm coming around. So what do I do? I put a $180 scope in a $270 mount).

Anyway, I saw PA's offerings, but I wasn't prepared to make a choice at order time. So what are you guys using? I'd love to get a lever mount so I can pop it on and off easily. For those that don't have one, the ACSS takes a 1" scope mount.

I went with the Primary Arms deluxe scope mount, no complaints.

call LaRue. They will usually send 1" rings for your mount at no or minimum charge.

I tested my scope twice now with a Rguns 20" SS upper and some 77 g SMK's.

At 100 yards the glass worked fine, at 200 mirage ruled and I wasn't able to see the target very well with 24x let alone 6x.

I do think the scope is a nice fit to an AR platform for two eyes open target acquisition and general shooting. I might try this out at a 600 yard match one weekend for giggles.

Was it a very hot or windy day? Did you try and focus? With 77 smk you need to be at 2700-2750 +1" at 100.
how big is your target?

My favorite so far ran through a CQB course with friends of mine. They had red dots and I was just as fast at 1x!
Then we hit the medium range portion 300-600 yards

They got some hits at 300 but with ACSS I hit 300-400-500-600 and back
They all were asking when this will be out!

Just got the rifle:

8/12 - 400 rounds at the 100 yard range

8/14 - 200 rounds at the 100 yard range

8/15 - 200 rounds at the 200 yard range

Total comfort shooting nice tight groups at both distances. I have no doubt it will perform just as well at 500 yards.

Great job!

Now I've got to save up for an M1A scope. lol

would it fit in this

or

http://www.opticsplanet.com/trijicon...ope-mount.html

(I'm partial to the bobro mounting system).

Will fit mount
You really don't need to illuminate unless it's dark or room clearing so should last a long time. Unlike a red dot if the battery fails you still have a black reticle.

Nice. I looked through the multi reticle model last night and damn it's really nice! I have astigmatism but the optic is very clear. I actually liked it more than the aimpoint lol. I'll be buying one for sure.

I gotta ask though, is there a QD mount that would fit the multi reticle RDS?
